I have a FR Wilk chip in mine. It made the acceleration far more smooth. It is much better off the line. I can even leave my air conditioner on when I come off a stop light now. It is much more drivable then the stock chip, but I have no basis for comparison with any other performance chips.

I have a maxhp chip

Worth the money in my opinion, especially since us n/a guys are limited in aftermarket as it is
The little wave of torque you get shifting out of second at 2500rpm is smooth as butter

I also have the MaxHP chip and LOVE it.

Better throttle response, smoother "torque curve" (NA cars don't really have torque), and best of all a bump in MPG.

I used to get 28-30mpg, and now I get 30-32mpg, which helps pay for the premium gas you need for the chip.

My 944 had some chip in. It didn't really seem to make the car any faster, and made me get 26 mpg tops (highway 65mph). Maybe I just had a dud.

You should support the community and buy the real chip instead of buying an ebay copy...

I have a 944Max chip installed, too. As was said before, you may gain a few HP, but the real benefit is that it works much smoother through the rpm range. Some of this might be perception, so ymmv, but I'm very satisfied with the chip.

I have an autothority chip. I couldn't say that the car is any faster with it but it does pull smoother and it has better throttle response. I wouldn't have considered it worth the full price of $500 (unless I just had money to burn on the car) but since I knew someone who worked there he got it for me at wholesale price (~$250). Because of that, I don't feel jilted.

I had the autothority and i put a stock dme back in it... was chasing a rough idle. I've been tempted to put it back it but at the time i did it seemed like the stock 88 dme i had ran the car better. I'll swap it back tonight just for sport and report back about it.
