I'd have to imagine that doors with full glass weigh a lot more than 50lbs too?

The Tar sheets are the worst.

Good data, catamax. I'm surprised about the sound deadening material. What does it sound like to drive the car on the streets without it?

Isn't a fiberglass hood supposed to be lighter than carbon fiber?

Yeah a real pain to scrape them off but they don't weigh that much ,only 12 lbs.

I don't know how it drives yet ,it's still in a milion pieces
Carbon fiber is the lightest and strongest of the 3.

I will make a weight list when i can,for now all i have is
-944 manual CUP mirrors are 2.2 lbs lighter than standard electric
-manual window regulators are 4.4 lbs lighter than electric
-left 2 way electric seat is 47.8 lbs
-right manual seat is 39.2 lbs
-7x15 et 23.3 phone dial is 17 lbs

Hey guys I wanted to show you this. It's a black 951 with a carbon fiber hood. I don't like eBay and don't want to support it...but....alas:

HOLD ON A SECOND! Is that a "carbon fiber" STICKER?! Just noticed this on a closer look...
Ad says it's a carbon fiber hood from GT racing, but what's up with the border?

We make it all here, the vents are D9 copied into the cf bonnet. Fitting is an issue and its okay if you have the makers at hand, but all adjustment is made to the parts, not the moulds. So its fine for me for racing but I wouldnt want someone else to have the bad fitting experience.

They just build wide body for my 944, the fenders I have a mould, the rears have been hand-build on the car, so nothing there.

pat, if you want a set of the fronts, i can have them made and shipped...
