Default Belts and TDC

Hi,

As always I appreciate any help. I have just put new timing and abalance belts on. My question is this.....after putting them on TDC at carnk and can, then turning motor by hand at the crank, the flywheel TDC is off by a little bit when compared to the cam TDC. Is this normal?

THANKS

Less than a tooth is normal, if you can roll the motor by hand with the plugs out you should be good...

I assume you mean a tooth at the cam?

Yup... crank TDC lined up, both my cars are less then 1/2 tooth off being lined up, as long as the engine rolls easily by hand you SHOULD be OK.. check 3 times, measure twice, and start it up...if it is more than 1 tooth off at the cam, re-time the cam
