Default FS: short 5th gear

From an '88 924S. It has about 100k miles on it. I swapped the trans out because the 1-2 synchro was gone.

I'm asking $190 shipped to the US. I can include the shift fork and the 5th gear synchro as well, if you want it.

Paperweight for an extremely windy day, maybe?

You can have it if you want it. I was going to take the R&P out and try to adapt a 4.11 unit from an early 924 to it, but I really don't have the time to mess with it.

I believe it's a 3.89. It's the same as a 944 NA, whatever that is.

Hey Mark somewhere I have another transmission with the blowed up R&P with a good tall 5th...I think it is in little Washington. I mean a tall 5th is better than no 5th at all.

How tall..? .730 or .600..? the .730 is the tallest you can find in a 944... and the .600 is in the 924s...

I don't know...it came out of a transmission that was a LSD...I think it was a 7V. I used it for awhile before I put the LSD in my short 5th ASG box. I just say "tall" 5th because it was unbearably tall after being used to the ASG gear.

Mark, I just gotta FIND the dag on thing and you can have it. You want the whole tranny or what? It really wasn't a bad transmission. 2nd gear syncro wasn't the best and oh yeah the R&P is in a bunch of little pieces but other than that it's pretty good. Oh yeah and the bell housing got cracked by FedEx and I had to weld it back together.

I always wanted an "ASH" transmission because it was the "right" tranny for my car, 89 NA with short 5th and LSD. Also it happens to be my name, so that is sweet. So I just made one by putting an LSD in an ASG box.

Dam How do you get the Rear Cap cover/nose cone off the transmission..? Ive gone like 3 days in a row trying to get this 5th gear out of a "5S" Transmission...

I got all the Allen Bolts out of the End cap but the dam thing wont come off... Is there a Hidden bolt somewhere..?
