Let's not forget the huge "ClubSport" decal on the 968 CS cars... call it rice if you wish but that decal is awesome! If you want rice, put a "Powered by Porsche" decal on the rear window in 12" high letters. </strong><hr></blockquote>

Just to clarify, I love the decal and do not think it is ricey at all..

My comment you quoted was sarcasm

"I not a lawyer, but I think there would be trademark infringement if someone other than Porsche started making them. Porsche has really cracked down on people/companies using their product names. Check out all the disclaimers in Tweeks, MidAmerica, PerformanceProducts/Automotion."

Hmmm, but does Porsche have a trademark on the word 'Turbo'? I have access to a vinyl label cutter and we can crank these things out for about $5 apiece!

Gary, who is selling his original 88 S has a website with a picture that has this decal. I assume it is factory.

It's on an silver rose.

Shows the black rear "turbo" matches the front fender decal which is black as well.

I definately like it.

I recently put a "PORSCHE" windshield banner on my black/black turbo in silver. I think it looks really good. I'll put up a picture next couple days.

isnt there a better way of plugging the holes around the licence plate (which im guessing is from a rear reflector panel and you can see where the licence plate was moved to on the lower bumper)

i got one of those panels because i like how they look but if i change my mind about that i dont want to haveto see those holes forever.

This is much more subtle than the screaming CS decal. On the right color car I'd say it's rice free.

I would like one on my silver rose, but I think with the pinstripe it would look too busy.

Danno, You are right that Porsche doesn't have a trademark on the word turbo, but they might be able to give you a headache on the design of the word turbo in the decal. I just don't know, but you see some wierd things in patent law.

But I doubt that has been registered (which cost money and time) and I further doubt that if you cranked out and sold a few hundreds that they would ever do anything other than asking you to stop. My guess is all these actions Porsche has been directing at people are over the Porsche and Porsche Crest trademarks and service manual copyrights.

Danno -

If you do decide to make the decal, I'll take one with the MAP kit!

BTW, any update on that?

Does the "turbo" decal go on both the left and right side of the car? The pictures posted so far have only shown the front right fender.
