I think they have round corners and there won't be any plastic on the inner side around the plate. It would be an interesting thing to test out though.

selling all red one with some sort of exchane policy going on... but 200 bucks isnt my cup of tea for red lights...

now if i could buy a set of 968 lights and they fit the car along the outside body lines i could fab up some kind of inner panel for the tag area to mold around with the inside curve...

I seen someone with a parts 968 car and maybe they could take one off and see how well it lines up...

No way, the 968 lights are totally different.

If you want an all-red tail light, just do the paint thing.

Default DIY Red Out

About six months ago I bought some " Oracal 8300-031 Transparent Cal " to cover the clear part of my 2002 WRX taillights after doing those I did the same treatment to my 951. Super easy to do with a good hairdryer, soapy water, squeegee and a Razor Knife. I will add a picture of the 951 after I get home. Oh yea the roll was 15" x 30' Paid $40.00 for it.

They arent painted..
Yes they are! Don't belive what he write. If he is cabable to make speacial lenses why does these bling red and not orange like 968 all red tail lights does.... Why does this manufacturer not hang around on Rennlist or any other forum to advertise his wonder glass' He just do the same trick like the rest of us; use the transparent paint.

If you read the add they pull out the white and amber lenses and replace them with red lenses...
Your factory lenses are reworked by a supplier that owns the process to convert the factory lenses to these All Red, Redout Tail Lenses. This keeps the cost down and makes them available to you at a fair price.
From their add, since english is not my native language would you please tell me what part means the oem lenses are pulled out and repalaced by red lenses? I suppose that bold text means red paint...

Some of lenses i have

Im betting this is what his "supplier" does to the lenses... Paint always was messy and doesnt always match up well... I hate when I see the hondas with "black out" spray paint on the tail lights...

However this plastic red tinting procedure seems the right way to go..!

Post a "How to" on this one and im sure you will get plenty of praise for it... im betting if you put together a small kit with enough material to do the 944 lights and instructions that people would buy them for 5 or 10 bucks a kit...

Just an Idea... cause honestly I cant think of what id do with 30 feet of this stuff lol
