Just a note though, it's only the 951's and S2s that are rising in value as far as excellence magazine is concerned. 924s, 944s, and 944Ss are still declining in value.

While I got a deal on my car, I know it's worth at least 2-3000K more than what I paid, and I've already put nearly that much into it.

Sold my '89 944NA auto, 172K miles in December for $3.5K. It really bugged me to sell it for this but it was on the market for 3 months with almost no interest. It was in great shape, maintenance up to date, new tires, rotors etc. I started at $4.5K. The market is not good to high mileage n/a's - especially auto's. Oh well - someone got a nice car cheap.

Luis,

"I'm going to kill you over and over again."

Absolutely gorgeous. With that, you could just name your price and watch them come running.

Micah, weissach here in vancouver has had one for sale for quite a while, and last time I was in there, TWO identical black 944 cabs were up on the hoists. A rare sight indeed.

Hey Rich,
Take another look at Luis' picture. It is NOT just another 944 Cab...it is a europe only 951S Cabriolet. Not common at all. The S2 Cabrios are relative few in number but the 951 Cabs are really rare and you have to get it federalized to import it to the U.S.

I paid $15k for my car (March 2001) and have put over $4k into it. New top, 996 twists with new SXX3's, new pads and rotors, replaced both rear wheel bearings, full belt/tensioner/h20 pump job, complete front enging reseal, 968CS steering wheel, new shift **** & boot, new floor mats, replaced enging mounts (factory mounts), did the rod bearings, cam chain tensioner replaced, IceShark headlight wiring kit & Cibie lenses, Iceshark +/- battery kit, KLA strut brace, remote keyless entry, and I'm in the process of installing 968 door panels and 968 rear luggage dump in place of the backseats. (I also, have a factory 968 windstop for it).
My car now has 98k miles (clutch was replaced 30Kmiles ago). Never been hit or repainted. I would have to get $20k for my car to feel like I hadn't gotten boned. Therefore, I will keep it and drive it for a couple more years. Frankly, I would love to sell it and buy another 911. I like this car but I don't love it. I have fun working on it though.

$13k. I know that sounds high, but if I were to sell my 951 I'd just buy another one and have to go through the cycle of fixing things all over again.
