The guys are right.I just got a 911 series catalog from Performance and the crest is $10. But instead of being silver like OEM, it looks like it's a painted crest. Nicer than the ones on my keyhead. They also carry replacement batteries and bulbs. If you can't find it using a 944 when you log in, change cars to a 996 and se if it comes up. I can post a part number later from home if you need it.

I upgraded my light last night,pretty cool mod,I used 2 batteries.How are the 3 battery one holding up?What the final word?I asked one of out engineers and he thought 9v was to much for the led to handle .In theory,how are they holding out?Are they warm/hot during use?May be Ill start another post on that.

I bought three, and first tried two, then tried three. I was much happier with three. The bulb does not feel hot at all. If you don't like it bring the third battery back.

To determine the proper resistance for an LED with a given ANY battery voltage.
E=I/R
R=E/I
R= (Vled -Vbattery)/ I Led
Lets say you know the following from the spec sheets.
V LED typ = 3.0 V
I Led max = 30 Ma
So to stay under the max we set I LED =20Ma=0.02A
And you want to supply a battery voltage of say 6 Volts.
R= (Vled-V battey)/0.02A
R= (6-3)/0,02
R= 150 ohms
And watch the units in the specs. 9000 mcd in one spec is the same as 9.0 cd in another
