Cool Just finished wiring my keylight

I found a drawing on the list a few days ago of how to put a white LED in the factory keyhead. When I bought the car, the light bulb was missing and the battery looked original. I went down to my local friendly Radio Shack and bought a LED and some batteries and proceeded to build it. It works GREAT! Anyone with minimal electrical skills can do this, a small, inexpensive, but useful upgrade-in my case, a repair. Anyway, just though I'd share this.

I have the packages back at the house, I will dig them out and post them later tonight when I get back home. Are you thinking of doing this? It really wasn't too hard, and only cost $12.00

Used the procedure on 968.net and did this same thing. I used a super bright blue LED, but these (and the whites) require more voltage. I think they need a minium of 3V to light. I also got my batteries @ Radio Shack. They are model CR1220, 11.6mm dia x 2.0mm thick. These are 3V per battery (I used 2, could easily fit 3 in there, factory battery is a little over 6mm thick)and it works great.

Here is a pic:

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement Porsche crest sticker for my key head? Mine was gone when I got the car and now that I have a decent light, I also would like to have a complete head.

AFAIK, you can't get just the crest. You can buy a new key head from the dealer though.

It's pretty bright, especially for a light that size. Whats their website by the way?

FWIW you can get the keyhead at pelican for $14.95, $20.90 for the keyhead and keyblank.
