Default FS RX-7 Oil cooler $75 SOLD

As title states. Unit is taken off an '85 RX7 (first gen, but that year had the same cooler as the second gen which is the popular upgrade for 951s).

Unit is in good shape after I did a quick cleaning of it yesterday. It has a handful of bent fins and one larger ding in the top fin row but nothing on the actual tubes.

Has stock, original oil fitting locations (some people like to weld new bungs on the sides for easier fittings, but I imagine it would be fine with the original fittings and a slightly longer hose.

This will take new fittings to attach to the stock 951 lines, I can try to find out the exact fitting type later. Pics will come a little later as well.

Not sure what a good price for this would be, after some searching they seem to go for like $150 (at least at the time of those old threads), so I'll say $100 + shipping.

**EDIT I was cleaning it earlier because it had generic road dirt and oxidation type stuff on the surface and stupid me forgot just how strong the drill is with my wire wheel. The aluminum is all nice and shiny but a good number of the cooling fins on one side were distorted in one way or another by the wire wheel. I'm sure air will still flow just fine through it but cosmetically it dropped a few notches. However the side that would face forward is still very very good. For this accident I've dropped the price to $75.

Can you post some pics? I've been interested in the size comparison of this compared to the stock 951 unit but have yet to see any pictures of one.

In a few days I should have a 951 oil cooler on hand for side by side comparisons, but if you want I can give you some measurements really quickly.

For some idea of scale I photographed it next to a spare x-member. It's big.

Just in case you weren't sure, this won't work in the stock 951 cooler location. It needs to go in front of the radiator or somewhere you have a big space.

No need to bother with the pics comparing it to the 951 cooler. Those pics are good enough - I was curious just how big it was.
