I'd never heard of it, but apparently it did exist, although this guy was either lying out of his nether parts or so completely ignorant he just spewed out the wrong number. Follow this link, and then do a search on the page to find the 1983 Porsche 929 "Study Group B" as displayed at the new Porsche museum:

Yeah, no way this dude was driving a car that ends up in a museum somewhere and doesn't know **** about it. Also, it looks like the author of the post says 929 - but the follow-up tag to the pics clearly says 959, which at first glance was exactly what that car looked like to me.

It would seem several postings on the internet display there is a 929 Porsche. I believe it is a typo, considering the 2 and 5 are close together. (hence 959)

Also while searching a Porsche 929, i found a match box car called a 929 (shark)
Matchbox Porsche 929
B1520
This item may contain small parts that are not suitable for children. Not recommended for children under 3 years of age.

And last, one form called a 928 GTS a 929.

interesting

John, why did you choose this forum to make your public release?

I'm almost in tears, and my son just ran out of the room because half the descriptions fit him...

WTF dude, seriously? I was merely pointing out my own age...how you turned that around into that can only mean you need some therapy.
