Default So... I kind-of need a wrecked/salvage parts car.

Either a 951 or an S2. Mostly a 2 out-of 3 vehicle. I'm not too worried about the body - I would just like for the mechanics to be in-tact and some of the interior bits. Once I snag what I need I'll part whatever else is good and junk the rest of it.

I don't need this right away, I have time to shop around. The only problem is, it's damn hard to find one! Does anyone know anyplace who sells entire wrecks or even has one available? I'm also not looking to spend big money - I am really looking for the car that someone else finds to be a nuisance.

Now that I think about it... I had a link to a salvage yard who sold whole vehicles for pretty reasonable prices. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Any help? Thanks fellas.

Weird... That post is 6-days old and it still hasn't sold? Is Lart on vacation or something?

Ok, forgive me in advance, I feel a bit of a ramble coming on:

I really took a long look at the car the other day and realized how damn proud I was of my work-in-progress. The car is ultra clean. I know every bit of the car inside and out. Paying attention to small details I can see is finally paying off.
I also figured I'd sell it and upgrade to a 951 or an S2 eventually... but I can't see myself doing it. My father has helped me with a few projects on the vehicle, and it's been a great bonding experience. At this point, it's not just a car... this thing represents good times with my old man.

I also love being unique. So for me to be 100% satisfied with the car, I'd have to update it with a few late parts. It's very possible for me to swap the mechanics from the late into the early. Hell, right now with the entire drive-system removed, the engine is already half out. I plan on taking it out ANYWAY to do a bit of detailing and maintenance! Why not take it ANOTHER step further and do some updates? I don't see why not...

That's perfect, actually. A bit high on the price, but that's a damn good example of what I want. A bit closer to FL would be nice, too!

Hmm... I would have considered $2k to be a steal!

All on West Coast, but around here we have access to:
Parts Heaven
20th Street Auto
And in the middle of the country:
Oklahoma Foreign

Also, wrecks generally end up on Copart -- though I'm not sure how the general public can access it.

You're right, but can't I dream for a smaller price? Haha.

Thanks for the 20th Street Auto link! That's the one I was thinking of!

same reason why i have and love my car. the 944 has been in the family since 1991, and my dad took regular care of it. then, **** happened, and it was neglected. i am now taking full charge of it. slowly, but steadily. your old man is proud of you and vice versa
