- 76 Alfa Romeo Spider
Car which is everything my other car is not. In good and bad. Reminds and surprises every time for the fact that pleasure is not always measued by stopwatch. I can feel like driving 9/10 in backroads without really driving too fast.

-86 944 Turbo
Daily driver and autocross and DE beater. Very nice for that purpose but >10000 miles within year including 6 days at track shows in car and spare part costs.

-94 Ford Econoline
Conversion van with 5.8 liter engine. Bought it for family car secretly hoping to have a future tow car. That remains to be seen. Wifes daily driver.

In storage far away
-76 924
This is future Carrera GT eater. It has already few very good parts including intercooled 931 engine and 944 brakes and suspension. Lightest waterpumper chassis made. Quick!

-82 924
Technically sold to friend.

The stable, starting with the longest owned:

1960 VW Beetle
Purchased in 1970 (yes its been mine for 33 years). This started my love of
German vehicles. It is a European car, with spedo in kilometers and has semiphores. Semiphores are little arms in the middle of the car which raise to signal that you intend to turn. They were made illegal in the states by DOT in 1956, but were continued in Europe til 60. DOT felt that drivers tended to gauge their stop from a cars lights, and felt that lights in the middle of a car was not safe. I have never been hit in 33 years of driving this vehicle....makes you wonder about the logic of our legislators.

1970 VW Beetle
This is kept as the starter car. It has lived through 1 daughter learning to drive and has 4 more to go. Currently rebuilding engine for daughter #2, as #1 threw the fan belt and seized the engine. $500 total cost for a rebuild...gotta love it. As each new daughter gets their crack at this sturdy ride, they will be allowed to repaint, in a color of their choosing and redo the interior. Cost approx. $1500 (VW dollars are not Porsche dollars).

1969 VW Karmann Ghia Convertable
Currently under going a complete ground up restoration. Nothing like the wind in your hair on a nice summer drive. What color did we paint it...Porsche Guards Red of course. Had it media blasted with walnut shells (less friction than sand, thus no warped panels) to bare metal. It should be a beauty when finished. It sits in the garage with the 951, just a shell, and when neighbors walk by they always note "isn't that a Karmann Ghia", the Turbo is never commented on. Go figure.

Early 1985 944
Purchased in 1987. Always wanted a Porsche. Did not think I could talk the wife into a 911 so I showed her the "Porsche Station Wagen". It worked. This began my love of the 944 series cars which endures to this day. Guards Red. After owning this for 16 years, my wife has been telling me to go out an buy a "NEW" Porsche (996), but I prefer the 944 series. Dumb you say, maybe.

1991 Chevrolet 3/4 ton PU
My rolling trash can. It sits filling with cardboard until it is time to go to the dumps. Gotta have one of these, as compost is not a good thing to haul in a 944.

1995 Ford Aerostar Mini Van
This is used to haul the 5 girls and a wife. (yes I am out numbered 6 to 1, but they have no interest in hanging out in the garage, my safe haven).

1990 Jeep Cheeroke
My daily driver.

2000 VW new Beetle
Y2K not? Urban Assault Vehicle.

1986 944 Turbo
Purchased in 2001. Finally listened to my wife and bought the "NEW" Porsche. Don't think this is what she had in mind, in fact I know NOT. It is a beauty with 69k miles on it. Oh did I mention Guards Red. Much to the shagrin of my wife I spend more time working (modifing, but don't tell her) on it, than I do driving it. I DO miss driving it, when it is in the middle of a mod though. As my tag states "Damn I love this car".

2002 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer
My wifes daily driver. It keeps her away from the 951. When she asks to drive the 951 I say either "Honey, you have a new car" or "Honey, I am working on the 951".

Currently only my wife, daughter #1 and myself drive. Daughter #2 is months away and is so ancious she could burst.

With the exception of my wife, they all know that they will never....ever....get to drive the Turbo!

Daughter #1 (who is now 24) was allowed to drive the 944 NA once........in a parking lot.

She was lucky.

With out my passion, where would I be?
