Currently taking up way too much room in my driveway-

96 Dodge Ram 1500- 175k and still haulin'
96 Chrysler LHS- comfy boat for my social director
01 Pontiac Grand AM- company car POS!
83 Scirocco- mileage undetermined, great fun!
86 951- Not all therapy requires a couch
82 931- Next Q ship of Porsche lineage

Drive the Pontiac most, hate it most. Scirocco is son's car, love to drive it. Rarely drive the wife's car except to identify "funny" noises. Ram is the stuff hauler. 951- now THERE's a good time. The 931 is the next project, probably also a test bed for an aluminum torque tube I'm making at the moment. If that little project works out, the 951 will get one as well. There's quite a bit of weight gone. So many cars, so small a garage.

1983 944 made in June of 82. Nice light early car with manual roof, manual seats and manual steering. 65K original miles, very fun little car.

1996 Chevy Blazer LT 4x4. Wifes daily driver and my snow day truck when the snow is deeper than the front spoiler on my car

1988 Mercury Colony Park stationwagon. I got this for free from a guy at church who was going to junk it. It loaded, has working AC, and I can put 4x8 sheets of plywood in the back between the wheel wells and close the tailgate. It's HUGE. I use it as a dump runner and a Home Depot car.

Previous rides.. WAY too many to list. My 944 is car number 92 (and I'm not kidding)

Ok, what the heck:

1985.5 944 - had her 7 years. Roughly 270K miles and just blew the head gasket. Gonna repair it this weekend (hopefully).

1997 Explorer Limited - don't want to put the Porsche in the snow! Also have a cottage in northern MI (not UP) and need a way in and out.

1996 Contour SE - partner's car. Just put a new engine and transmission in and I swear it runs almost as fast as my 944. Nice car.

The truck and the Contour are black with tan interior. The 944 is Gaurds/black. If I sell my 944 and buy Tariq's turbo, it's, you guessed it, black with tan interior

Ok, why not.

2001 S4 - Bought it in March of 2001 when the dealers had a bit of trouble moving stock. I had a chipped A4 at the time and just wanted to go faster It was the most interesting car buying experience I've had, a friend and I walked in and said 'we both want S4s, today, let's go look at what you have'. That salesguy had a nice grin on his face that day.

86 951 - I've had it a little more than a month. One of those 'good deals' that I knew would result in needing a bit of work, but that was the entire goal. Currently sitting up on the kwiklift waiting for an exhaust. My plan is to get a few more items fixed up on it, sell the S4 and buy some beater, and see how this '951 as a daily driver' thing works out.

'92 Honda Civic DX (no air conditioning) - My first new car when I didn't have much money. This thing has been super reliable and cheap to own. Only now at 160k have I had to put some money into it for radiator, brakes and now some suspension bushings.

'01 Acura MDX - Needed a family hauler and wanted the reliability of my Civic. Honda Pilot wasn't out yet or I would have looked at that too. Wife loves it, but it's getting a little tight with 3 kids. Trying to avoid mini-van.

'86 Porsche 944 - Really wanted air conditioning for the Civic. Told my wife I could buy a new Accord for $20k or something fun for under 10k. Wanted a 944 since high school. She was cool with it and my kids love it.

Well there are 4:

89: Corvette coupe (Estella) Project car as I obviously didn't have enough sink holes in my life.

93: 968 Powerhaus Turbo S (Hooters (gotta drive her to understand that, its not quite what you may think)) My race car.

95: Ferrari F355 Berlinetta (Etta) Functional art.

00: Dodge Durrango (Max (blue meanie, Yellow submarine reference)) Work-a-holic and foul wearther daily driver.

I'm addicted to fine cars. Just the way it is.

Past loves:
89 corvette vert: my first sports car, and to whom I credit my addiction.
83 Ferrari 308 GTS: first exotic, and a real treat to drive. not that quick though.
86 Ferrari 328 GTS: Left me stranded once, and the shop couldn't figure out why. She now lives in Texas somewhere.
86 911 Targe: My frist track car. Had more handling than horsepower. Fun car with a great flat six sound.
98 993 cabriolet: last of the glorified vw's. Fun car, but she had no soul. really awful blind spot with the top up too.
99 BMW 540i Sport: A really fun sedan with plenty of umph. The 6speed helped too!
97 Jaguar XK8 coupe: I really miss her. Pure elegance. Not bad for a Ford.

86 951 (Code Red II). Bought in 1997 with 68k miles. Near perfect condition. Bought for $10,100 (had to match a trade in offer). Pretty much a garage queen as I only have 78k on her now. Current favorite car of all time.

01 Izusu Rodeo (we just call it the truck). This is my daily driver/work vehicle. Runs a minimum of 70 miles per day. Has a 100k warranty and zero percent financing! Wife and I car pool to work, so I'm not officially a terrorist.

99 Toyota Xcab PreRunner (no name, youngest daughter drives it). I really like this truck. Lease is up in about two months and I just may go ahead and buy it. This daughter takes extremely good care of the truck (see next car).

96 Ford Mustang (we call it Sally - I have no idea why). Oldest daughter drives this one. It was in excellent shape when we gave it to her - oh well. Poor thing has had the crap beat out of it. I kinda feel sorry for it. Oldest daughter is NOT a car person.

Previous cars...
Too many to list all, but some notables:
72 Corvette
77 Corvette
80 Corvette
74 Javelin AMX
68 Plymouth Barracuda
69 Road Runner
72 Charger
74 Charger SE
76 Camero LT
83 Porsche 944

Future want-to-have...
Ford F350 Dual Cab Dually with Horse Trailer for the ponies!
