Wink Another great Porsche collectable- EXPOSED!

All right, I'm ready to let the cat out of the bag. I've been grabbing up some great deals on Ebay and now I've got my fill, I'm ready to share my secret. Check out these AWESOME Porsche factory calendars.
<a href="http://home.earthlink.net/~944fest/Calendar.html" target="_blank">Dan's Calendar Collection</a>

I recently bought FOUR of these 2'x2' high quality "poster packs" on ebay, all for just over $20. (48 posters for 20$!!) 1986, 87, 88 and 89. All but the 88 had some great pics, no, POSTERS of waterpumpers in them. These shots are suitable for framing, and Porsche even sells frames just for that purpose.
I'm not sure if my server will handle the traffic and all your visits, so don't be surprised if the link quits in a couple of days. I didn't upload them to Rennlist cause I don't want John to worry about the copyright stuff..
Anyway, keep your eyes peeled on Ebay or swapmeets for these posters..they are Awesome!! Don't you think?

I wonder if there's a way to scan them in high-res like and put them into new calendars.

Great buys!

While the posters themselves are too big to fit in my scanner, I could try for a high-res digital pic. The problem I had shooting the ones you have seen was glare if I shot it straight on. I'll need to get creative with the lighting.

We'll see what I can do..

Dan, I've been looking for those posters/calendars all day without any luck. Did you buy them all from the same person, different people, etc? Any keywords (I'm trying 'Porsche Calendar' with little results for things like this).

Thanks..

I bought those 4 from one seller, ebay # 2400769165, and I struck gold with that one. On other occasions, I snagged one when able. Usually I pay up to $20 for one calendar, but this last bunch was a special deal. It will take patience, I did notice no older calendars up now, but keep an eye out and they'll show up. Once I got one real cheap because the lister spelled it "calandar" and it got very few hits due to the spelling error. Yep.. "porsche calendar" is the best way to find them, and be patient. FWIW, I was dissapointed with the 1988 one, it was all paintings of old race cars. While that is nice and all (YEA, I'm keeping it, thanks) my collection usually leans toward the water pumpers.

Good luck in your hunt, and beware of SNIPERS!

I have the 2000 911 Turbo calendar named "Bridging the Millennia" and it came with a bronze medallion of the 911 Turbo. I am not familiar with these calendars till this post and I look up and see mine. Is this one I have anything special? D

The more recent calendars are a little more common. Each calendar came with a bronze "coin", do a seach on ebay for "porsche coin" and you'll see a few. Searching for completed auctions always gives a better feel for true value. I've seen the coins trade for anywhere from 3$ to 20$. Lately the 82 944 coin and the 92 968 coin have shown a spike in prices, probably because we were discussing them here on rennlist in the last couple of weeks!
