Post MGB forum?

I might get ahold of an old MGB, and I was wondering if there was a Rennlistesque forum around for them. I did a quick Google search which turned up the Michigan Ghostbusters Forum, the Michigan Guppy Breeder's Forum, and something in German.

That's a good place to start, thanks. MGB is one hell of an acronym, it seems...

It is. seems to stand for a lot- My Triumph TR6 NEVER ran right. rewired it, converted to 12 volt and took a 500$ loss (it cost me 300 bucks..)
Michigan Guppie Breeders ROCK!!! I bet they drink fish water for fun!!!

Ok, lets get real here. With the top down, the 71 MBG got more complements then my Pcar ever did. The reason I got rid of it was my wife was going to have twins and I couldn't get parts for it. I put over 200K mile on the car (engine rebuilt twice) and ran it across the country (NY to Ca.) four times. Ok, it broke twice in Texas (broke fuel pump) but those were the only times it left me stranded. It didn't have a rust issue because I lived in the Southwest at the time.

AARRGGHHH SOB heheheehe... i just wrote a lenghty letter and i have no clue why it didnt post...prolly something i did.

ok the short and sweet (well bitter). i cant help you w/ a mg forum, the british forums i belong to are triumph specific, but im sure you'll find some...there are many mg enthusiats out there. i can offer you some advise...research and know exactly what you are getting into when entering the twisted world of british leyland automobiles. other than looks and being alot of fun to drive they are an absolute nightmare...period. i dont want to discourage you in anyway..i love my tr and will own it (and my 951) for a long time...but it is not for the weak stomach or wallet. best of luck

PS theres a reason my tr is 23 years old and only has 65k miles on it heheh

I like MGBs . It is a different thing than a porsche, but a properly set up B is a fun car that will be reliable. I've always had good luck with brit cars. They have nowhere near the sophisticated engineering of a german car, but that is fun in its own way.

Sorry, i was <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" /> last night.
Best of luck, I saw a MGB midget on the road today, so they must still exist and therefore enthusiasts. I fell in love with a british racing green MGBGT in Florida, but I was driving a POS ford fairmont at the time and easily impressed.

For the record, nobody's paying any money for it. My buddies dad bought it two years ago (British Racing Green with chrome bumpers). He hasn't been doing too much with it, and I've been dying for one for years. We mostly just want him to put it in our garage so we can play with it. We figure, if he buys the parts, we'll do the labor.

The only problems the car seems to have is passable paint and only four gears (screams at 65mph). We're hoping for a fun spring/summer tooling around with the top down hollerin' at ladies from our...uh...vintage classic European roadster.

We will wear WWI fighter pilot headgear, complete with scarf, helmet, and goggles.
