It was wet, really wet... But there was a nice variety of cars there. It was funny to watch some of the owners wipe their cars down over and over between the rain. Some were up to six times by the end of the day.

Seemed like a lot of cars I haven't seen in previous years. David and I bailed just before the bricks went out, so not sure about the trophies. Not sure if anyone picked up any door prizes either. It was good to see everyone.

thanks to everyone who came out! You guys were GREAT soldiers and never batted an eye in the less-than-ideal weather. It was hard for organizers too, but every year all of you just roll with it and have a great time. If we had scheduled the show for today (clear skies) we would have gotten over 500 cars. The rain cost us a good 100. I was standing in the rain at 6am parking cars from people rolling in from northern michigan and tennessee in a driving rainstorm. one guy left his house at 245am. AMAZING. Also thanks to Chuck and Randy Beck who came from Atlanta and brought their 904 and 550 reproductions. I had a chance to sit with both of them Friday night at the pre-party and these guys are the most unpretentious, down-to-earth father and son combos you could possibly meet. It was a real treat to get up close with two guys who have bloodied their knuckles on cars and Porsches for 30yrs.

Three 924/944/968s won. That S2 cab, a 944T, and Kevin Seeley's terrific 968 Turbo which was a no brainer.

Ive uploaded several hundred photos to www.porsches2oxford.com. Just use the PAST EVENTS dropdown menu on the home page to sniff them out.

Also thanks to WCPO (ABC) Channel 9 for coming out. I had sent about 6 million press releases over the last month and never heard a thing. Finally called all the Cincy affiliates to see if they were gonna come through or not. Also met with Dave Conklin from Excellence. With any luck we might see something in the next couple of issues.

See you next year when the weather is better (it has to be right?) and we do get 500 cars. We had 466 paid registrations this year.

Also, those of you who walked out early may have lost out on some great raffle prizes. Several people had their name drawn and were not present for $100 certificates to Porsche of the Village, Griot's, and free Garmins. I believe we had to pull the $1500 certificate to Motorsports Country Club of Cincinnati more than once, as well as Forgeline's $2,000 gift certificate. You filled out the raffle ticket, why leave??

Thanks for helping to raise $10,000 for the ACS. Every dime came from attendees. Not a penny from sponsors.

Here are a couple pictures that my friend took. Kevin won another brick (I think that's 3 years in a row now) and the red 951 that was over near the movie theatre with the jumbo 19 inch wheels won a brick. The rain was brutal heading out but it ended up being really nice for the drive home. Hopefully there will be better weather next year.

You mean this blue one? (pic from the OT p2o thread). I don't usually like the way the stock cabs look, but I actually liked the lines of this one.
