Unhappy Issue with rear stub axle

I've now broken two on the rear drivers side I'm thinking that the 924S stub axle was never designed to run 275 hoosier in a car that has 227 rwhp. Both stub axles were broken on hard right hand turns under hard acceleration causing me to lose race time. I'm thinking of going to 951 stub axles and axles, has anyone had problems with these breaking as well under race conditions?

I've never damaged a 951S stub axle... Been tracking the car for 10 years - racing for 7.

I don't understand how you broke the left axle on a left hand turn - when the right side it taking all the load. How exactly did it fail? I'm wondering if you have a suspension travel issue that causes the CV joint to put an unusual force on the axle...

I meant right, but wrote left - now fixed

First break was at the tunnel turn at Barber, second was coming out of Hogpen at VIR

Here's a thought...could it be the transaxle swaying around under the loads? There was some discussion about this on the 944 Turbo forum. A RL'r over there made a reinforced arm to prevent the transaxle from moving.

Any chance you have a picture of the failure ? Any stress cracks ? Just snapped ?
