Looking for a r134a compressor. Would 968 compressor work?

My AC compressor is going bad and needs to be replaced along with the dryer. I want to replace the compressor with one made to use r134a. Unfortunitly I can't swing buying a new compressor right now so I need to find a used one. So anyone have any suggestions on a r134a compressor that will hopefully bolt on using exsisting brackets?
I saw this listing at a parts site ... Sanden A/C Compressor Kit 944 83-92. I guess it means the 93 to 95 968's came with r134a compressors. So could I use a compressor from a those year 968's? If so would it bolt right on using the existing brackets, belt, & hoses?
I will be bringing it all to a professional to get it installed and set up correctly.

Is there no difference between all r12 and r134a compressors or just the 944 / 968 compressors?

im not sure that the 944/968 cars ever had 134a factory- you can run 134a in these cars w/ an oil and dryer change. Early and late cars had different locations for hookups i believe- a 968/944s2/late n/a compressor should work for you.

according to pelican they are different parts (up to 92 and 93 onwards)
but even if the 944 compressor was designed for r12 it will work with r134 you just need to change seals and oil
