That was my own post. I got tired of looking for a hose that apparently did not exist and found a company that had steel breaded hose that woyld work eith the d4 break fluid. Thanks anyway

Nope, I don't agree, at least in this case. Unless I'm really confused (easy to do to an old man ;-))... we're talking about the supply hose that runs down from the brake fluid reservoir to the clutch master cylinder...yes? It's open into the reservoir at the upper end... It's just a suction line, and since it's gravity-feed, the pressure inside is the same as the atmospheric pressure outside, other than the "massive" gravity-head pressure (in the 6" drop, about 1 psi, _maybe_). If the drop was 20 feet, I might worry about the need for braiding to keep it from expanding...
Any hose of the right diameter will work, as long as it will take the heat & not break down on exposure to brake fluid (which is fairly nasty stuff).
