A family member ran into some serious money issues and I decided to part out the car instead of selling it as a whole.......looks like it was a bad idea.

This is merely a comment- I'm not intending to cause an argument, or to be an ******* or anything, but, and I may be wrong- part of your problem might be the prices- they seem a little high to me, like the BR's- of course, I'm not exactly sure what all comes w/them- if it's for all 4 wheels, w/2-piece rotors, etc, then maybe not, but, most people know that you can get the calipers, new, for under $600/pr- rotor price depends on many varaibles. Anyway, this is just an example- I don't know about the prices for everything, and, again, not trying to be rude- just sugggesting, that if you really want to move the stuff fast, you may want to reduce your asking prices by a little bit. Also, this is no kind of excuse for people who have bid on your stuff, backing out on their agreed prices- that SUCKS(!), and I completely understand your aggravation...

BTW- what kind of car are you planning to get now that the 951 is gone?

BTW again- that is pretty cool of you to sell your beloved car to help out family members in need- that's a sacrifice, and one that show's great character

Hey, i'm interested in the cup sway bars and the strut tower brace.

Questions:
1. The cup sway bars are 30mm front and 19 rear? These are the same as the 968 M030, right?

2. I've never heard of the RD strut tower brace. Is there a website i can go to to check it out?

I'm not to far away from you (North Jersey)and would be willing to make the drive up for the parts and pay cash. I was looking for an email addy but couldn't find one. Feel free to email me back. kadam@stevens-tech.edu

I will buy a beater 951 of course!!!! I got one lined up for 3000......the big reds are front and rear with SS lines new pads (one EXTRA front set) and I will even include hubs+spindels to a guy with an early offset. This kit is basicly new, and I paid $4600.

The cup sways sound like a decent price to me, and the RD strut brace- not sure- I have seen them before and thye look really nice (one of the best looking braces I think), but I'm not sure about their fit- Turby? I do know that SOME of the strut braces have had fitment issue on our cars...

BTW- I remember seeing a post talking about the dif b/t the Cup and 968 MO30 sways- and someone saying they ordered them from Windward, and Windward saying something kind of strange abnout the size, as the size of the sway was actually smaller than the normally accepted size for a Cup sway- was that your post Turby? How did that turn out? I assume what you have are really Cups, else you wouldn't be calling them that, but I was just wondering what the final verdict was on all that....

Ken - someone correct if i'm wrong, but i don't believe the strut brace from Turby's 951 will fit your N/A. i believe they are of different sizes.

the sway bars would be a great idea though :-)

good luck! <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Yes that was my post......Windward told me porsche now uses a stiffer material on the rear bar formally 21mm, now a stiff 19mm. They told me it was the same, no one has ever said they were wrong.......I cant seem to find anyone that actually has the cup bars and thier thoughts.

Ken if your car is an 83, it will not fit, but the swaybars will.

I guess I was wrong then- for all 4 wheels, etc, the BR's aren't a bad price...

Thanks for the info on the rest...

Wow, this post had no reponses a couple of minutes ago- now look at it

I recently (Last month) paid $450 for used cup car bars 21mm. But I can not say that Turby or Winward is wrong... Worst case scenerio you have stiffer set of bars that are cheaper then the dealer would charge.
