Default FS: 2 LSD trannies

Hey All,

I'm selling 2 LSD trannies:

The first is a 1983 in good shape with ~94k miles on it. It has been opened up and checked and the ring and pinion gears are in good shape. I'm looking to get $800 plus shipping.

The second is from a 1986 944 Turbo with 102k miles on it. It is in excellent shape w/ an oil cooler and came from a car with a bad DME. I'm looking to get $1300 for this one.

If anyone is interested they can email me at APartAbove@aol.com or call me at (440) 666-0350. Thanks.

How will the turbo tranny fair in an S2? Are the gears set for a N/A car?

The gears are the exact same except fifth gear which is slightly shorter than the S2 gears.

Depends on what you will be doing with the car. I'd stick with the longer gears if I could. Thus why I'm still a one-tire-fire wonder. Can't afford a turbo LSD yet!

Depends what you're looking for. The shorter FDR of the turbo gearing is going to help you accelerate quicker but you'll shift more often and your top speed won't be as high. If you're tracking the car, I'd consider this a good thing. Also, email me at APartAbove@aol.com if you're still interested in that S2 fuse/relay panel, Travis from Rennbay told me you were looking for one.

Yeah, I garfed that up and had it all backwards, the S2 FDR will lead to quicker acceleration....I'm not good with simple math and comparisons....

Either way, I have a good turbo trans with an LSD that someone should buy.
