Post Do You Have a Front Licnese Plate?

I do not.
But I occasionally put the bra I got with my car from the PO and it looks odd(er?) without any front plate.

Yes, it's illegal in CA but rarely enforced unless stopped for something else.

I've seen a basic black plate with the Porsche logo in the middle on a car like mine and it looked okay. You?

NJ uses any excuse to pull you over, no front plate here is as good as flipping off the cop as you go by. Taxes are such a big issue here that municipalities will use any source of income they can find, and traffic fines are easy. They will write any BS they can think of knowing that 90-95% of the victims will just mail in a check, the rest go to court amd plea bargain for an offense that costs twice as much but doesn't add points to their DL (most don't even ask what they plead guilty to, as long as no points are involved)

It's illegal in Texas as well, but I've never ran with a front plate. I think it messes up the looks of the front end. However, if I was going to put something on (like a black Porsche plate) then I think I'd go ahead and run the state plates - either way the look is toast - might as well be legal.

here in NY I always wear a front plate.
I don't want to have to deal with a cop crying about me not having it.

Illigal in Ohio, been pulled over 5 times for it. I always get it thrown out of court becuse mine has no provisions for the mount from the factory. Flies every time.

Downside.. I am always getting pulled over.

No front plate required or issued in NC... and there'd be a helluva stink if they ever mentioned adding it. The next election would be a bloodbath.... Hey, that's not such a bad idea!

Jim, gotta love the 'primitive' South!

My car came from CA and they put anchors in the front to mount the plate so I put a Euro plate on the front to hide the holes. I like the way it looks.

Illegal in Ohio as noted, but I haven't had a problem except for one warning last year when I was pulled over in my Trooper by a local officer in a community I don't often visit (and visit even less often now)...

I run my car without a front plate (well the porsche logo plate actually) and I have never had a problem here in Illinois even though its required. My dad also has no license plate on his old british car and has never had an issue with it.

I have, and hate, my front plate. Required in MN.

Jesse Ventura wanted to get rid of them, but didn't manage to get it by the legislature.

in new york front plate is required and i have one... for now, but when i get the money to buy me a new fiberwerks front bumper im not going to bother with a front plate. my father is a sheriff and he said they wont (usually) bother you about it unless your doing something extremely bad and they want to make a long list of tickets longer... in that case the licence plate would be the least of my problems

For once something I can say that Florida is good for! No front plates here! And since I'm in the Army I get ti keep my plate anywhere I go... I kept it even when I lived in HI (they have a front plate there: agh!)
