Umm yeah, what Jon said.

There is one. Look at the list of forums on the right. It'd be the one that says DIYs lol.

There's also Clarks garage. He doesn't cover everything, but it has 90% of anything you would ever need. There's also the "search" function on here. Its a PITA to use sometimes, but if you do an advanced search, you can filter out just the 944 section.

I understand what you're asking for, and why it would be a good thing, but there already is a ton of information out there. Maybe organization would be the best thing. People on here who have done DIY's could go put them in the correct place, making them easier to find.

there's no need for one due to

www.clarks-garage.com

period.

EDIT: clark's covers mainly repairs, so maybe it would be good to have one for mods like ur door handle trick

I don't know. Clark's is a really good reference. I use that and the FSM mostly. But there have been some really good write ups on here that went into a lot more detail with a lot of pictures.

VIDEOS

I want to see DIY vids. Other forums have this luxury for working on cars and other things. I'd love to see video documentation for working on things like the vacuum system and fuel system troubleshooting/service, clutch replacement, and belts replacement.

A sticky could solve this. If someone just linked all the good DIY threads into one...

I think there should be some method of moving good diy threads/posts into the diy section. No need for organization because you can use the awesome search function.

Actually if you just put the word DIY in the title of your thread, then anyone who searches for diy whatever will be able to find it. That's what I do anyway.
