Yeah, you got that for a steal! Good luck with it.
Don't forget to replace the rubber fuel lines going to and on the fuel rail. They're sure to be dry rotted at this point.

Center caps should be black.

The secret's out!!!!

Dev, that's a big move from 2 weeks ago when I came up and met the new "family member". Glad to see things are moving along smoothly. I was very happy for you when I saw the car (me being an originality nut and all), and it looks like the car should be a great base for you to build a very nice ride.

Keep it going and keep me in the loop man, I can't wait to see how this one turns out.

I am available to lend a hand if you need it, and as always, feel free to call and ask me those "how the hell do you know that" questions. Also, I think I got a cassette hinge assembly for you. I will call you the end of the week. You really need to swing by and check out the XKE.

I'd try buffing that paint out, you might be surprised what you can do with it. My first was white, and I used some paint cleaner (basically a light polishing compound) and it made it practically glow. Looks fun, congrats.

I'm pretty sure the center caps are the problem.

Nice car though. Looks like you got a great deal and can make a fantastic car out of it.

So, this weekend:

Reassembled rear brakes with turned rotors (brakes were all fine and in spec so I did not replace yet).
Finished refilling transaxle.
Removed all of front brakes, strut, sways, etc.
Painted front brakes, got front rotors turned and painted the hats etc.
Disassembled engine bay to get ready for the new water pump, timing belt, hoses belts etc that are coming in.

The pile of parts taken off is certainly growing.. and a sh$t load$ of goodies are coming in hopefully for next weekend. And I already found more things I need to order.
