Odd request. Anyone have a picture of an option sticker with M030 on it?

You know, I've always thought how easy it would be to fake this stuff. Especially for cars sold online where they were not inspected in person.
Not insinuating anything at all. Just we all put so much stock in these stickers that it would be easy to fake this stuff then plead ignorance.
Has anyone heard of this happening?

Hello,
Here is a picture of option label from my `86 944 2.5L N/A
This is EXTREMELY rare option on this model (it is more common on S/S2 or Turbo).
Also my car does not have rear seatbelts (maybe part of 030 opt?). Car was originaly regitered as 2 seater.

BTW - I recommend donuts or lunch for the favor the parts guy is doing for you, never hurts to grease the wheel it rolls smoother that way and more appreciated.

Lol, all the option stickers are good for are telling you what originally came on the car. Chances of them having a lot of the desirable parts still on them 20 years later is not that great I am afraid. Maybe 5-10% of the cars we have picked up for spec conversions and others in general have still had things like the LSD or sport suspension still on it. All the others have been robbed at some point in their lives. And with that being said, you never know when you pick up a car that didn't come with LSD, and it has had one put in!

I have thought the same thing, but if you take the VIN# to your friendly Porsche dealer parts person they can enter the VIN into Porsches computer system and tell you what options the car came with.

Sounds like you have an unusual car - the original owner must have intended the car for track use... possibly had a factory delete of the rear seat, special order? And someone later added a backseat? Usually, I've seen either leather or script seats, your back and front seat upholstery looks like it may have come from an earlier car?

When I run your VIN in PET, it also lists M429 (special model--Sebring), M431 (Leather Steering Wheel 4 Spoke), and M441 (Fader, antennae booster, 4 speakers)
