Post Pictures of My New CCW Wheels

I am very pleased with my new track wheels. They are from CCW, 17x9.5 front, 17x10.5 rear with polished center and upgraded bolts. The only thing unusual about the wheels is that the rim sticks out further than the tires, so I have to be careful when I lay them down so they don't get scratched. Also, they were more chrome looking than I expected. For track wheels for about $1950, I very happy.

Nice purchase dave, how did the alignment come out?

They should be a great improvement on the track, that and the LSD should have the car really hooked up. Hopefully I'll get to actually see you at the track in the near future.

And will you be making it to the euroworks dyno day?

I have a couple of sets of those for my race car. I used to leave the front grease caps plain or painted red, but recently I wire brushed/metal polished them to a shine and sprayed with clear lacquer. Makes them look a lot better.

Thanks for the comments guys ! Ian, when is dyno day because I definitely want to do it. I am going to Road Atlanta this weekend with Peachtree PCA--should be fun. Wish you were going too. Steve, Yes, that is my backyard--beautiful Lake Norman, just north of Charlotte. Doug, great idea with the center caps. The CCW track wheels are not available with center caps, they change the wheel for the street version which adds weight. Is there a cap for the rear that is suppose to be on the car ??

hey david do you use injector ballast resistors with your 55# simmens injectors? also why does the front and rear wheels have no center caps? it looks weird and rather like its missing something if you get me...

David,
Do the CCW's weigh more or less than your Fikse's? I was thinking about getting another set of FM-10's for track tires, but if the CCW's are lighter . . . might look into them

I have Fikse centercaps, but I don't use them. I think my car looks better without them.
I do need to get some polished/anodized lugs ASAP, talk about pricey

CCW web site is CCW They will make your wheels to your specification. It took about 3-4 weeks to get the wheels after ordering them. I too wish they came with center caps, but these are strictly track wheels. The rims stick out to far to use on the street, so I don't recommend that. Centercaps at the track are also undesirable, since they may be lost. Still wish I had some, but I did not want to have the wheel changed to accommodate the caps. The CCW wheels are very light, about 18 pounds per wheel. I am not sure how much the Fikses weigh? Probably comparable.
Ian, the alignment with Eurowerks was well done !! The car drives excellent. I don't have the alignment numbers but Jim put 1 degree negative camber up front (which I can increase at the track with my camber plates) and about 1.75 degrees negative camber in the rear.

Tecart, I dont have any Ballast resisters ? for my 55 pound injectors. I do use the ARC 2 however. I don't really know how this relates, so perhaps you can clue me in.

David,

Those wheels look terrific on your car!

Good luck at Road Atlanta,
