I have both. My system currently leaks in some spots, and is about to leak in others..

I've been without the belt ever since I pulled out of the PO's driveway with my car. I even have all new hoses to replace the old ones with, but driving without power assist isn't that bad.

lol, mine leaks like a quart every 3 weeks or so, so I just have to keep on buying atf and filling it up until I can afford to get a rebuilt rack.

I don't want to just drive a power rack without the pump because I think it'll be a bitch to drive in parking lots and when parking.

back off, ive been bidding and waiting on this for over a week, and need it so my car can drive. since ive bought the car 10 days ago, ive only gotten to drive it 3 times, and its sitting at the shop until. so do me a favor and back the eff off
If it's still at the shop you can have the same stuff that came off my 80/K 924S for free, you pay shipping. The res bottle, and both hoses were new when they came off the car, no leaks. Put a new manual rack on the car. It was there about 10 months ago in the "spares" storage. I offered it on RL back when I took it off but no takers?? Won't able to check until mid next week due to holiday.

(Offer applies to anyone if the stuff is still at J-3)

its really easy actually, everyone makes it out to be so difficult but it doesnt really take any more effort than PS after youve driven it for a day. even at super low speeds and wider than stock tires on the front its a cinch to park

I drove for five years with no power steering, slow speeds like in a parking lot are a little pain but nothing major. Pump was shot when I bought the car. I am now undecided if I want to pony up and buy a rebuilt rack and all the parts or just leave it as is. Hmmmmmmm.

Mine doesn't leak, I just rebuilt everything... BUT my res to pump hose is allowing the pump to suck in air... quiet at first then starts to whine...

yeah, i dont mind manual steering, i just thought these cars needed the PS bec the serp belt relied on it , or something; hence why i was flipping a lid, but since it isnt requied f**kit i'll rock manual steering, and use that money elsewhere
