While we're on the subject of license plate relocation, I'd like to take this opportunity to remind everyone with a USA rear plate in the stock location of Danno's license plate alignment procedure:

Porsche 924 Design:
Anatole (Tony) Lapine
Tony Lapine was head of Porsche's styling and design and had responsibility for the 924's design. He was born in Latvia in 1930 and spent 17 years with General Motors before moving to GM's Opel in Germany where he was discovered by Porsche.
Harm Lagaay
The styling of the 924's body is credited to a 29 year old Dutch designer working under Tony Lapine named Harm Lagaay. He later went on to style the 968 which was the final evolution of the 924.

Well, I dont' know about you guys, but my car is in dire need of a paint job and new front bumper.
I'm going to order a Euro bumper, Euro REAR bumper (and rubber strip) and weld up the holds, sand, and paint the whole car.
That'll confuse EVERYONE!
and it'll look NICE.

I am also going to change my US spec rear bumper to euro spec.
This will make my car "The Ultimate Rice", since i will have eurospec rear bumper, US spec side markers, euro spec side repeters (side blinkers), clear front blinkers, clear rear blinker glass etc. etc.

Well, I sure got my money's worth here! Seriously, it's been a blast reading the posts.
I did notice mine (for those keeping score, I got my car!) has a bit of a warp in the center. I WILL be removing it. I actually like how Michelle's red car looks with one- but my silver (champagne?) would look better without. That's of course, IMHO!
Thanks for the input, and hope I didn't start something! <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" />
I'll be joining Rennlist for sure, because I'll need more tips, since this is my first German car.

Wow....old post.
I personally don't know why so many are agaist these. Every 911 of that generation had the same center reflector stock. So it's not like it is just something someone came up with out of the blue.

If anyone wants, I have a brand new in the box center piece with licence plate mount and wiring. Never installed. Got it with a box of parts I bought a few years ago.
$85 shipped in the lower 48.
