MEGA parts sale - Sacramento, CA
I just met up with a guy yesterday that is selling a bunch of 924/931/944s and 951 parts.
He's in Sacramento and I told him I'd post a notice online for him. He is liquidating a collection of parts accumulated since 1978 for Porsches.
If anyone in that area has a 924 or 944 - you MUST go tomorrow
9am to 3pm to
2726 Rio Linda Blvd, Sac 95815.
Really - there is sooo much stuff there - I loaded up the back of a suburban yesterday after 3 hours of browsing and am sending my father back tomorrow for more.
The guy selling the stuff knows some stuff about Porsches, but he's not the original 'accumulator' of the parts and there were so many 356,914,924, 944 and 928's that the owner had - the parts are a little intermingled.Bring your PET's and ref guides.
Here are some of the items that are there:
1978 924 race car with trailer - delorto carbs
19?? 924? being converted to GT look alike?
19?? 944S
1986 951 (track/DE car - with Lindsay racing bits)
1982 928
several motors
several transmissions
strut assemblies
86 aluminim control arms
924 or early 944 5 lug front and rear
wheels (probably a half-dozen sets 15" - 17?")
race slicks
some porterfield pads
plug wires
distributors
alternators (like a SHELF of them)
3 turbos (I looked at one - K26)
something like 4 ot 5 torque tubes
couple sets torsion bars - i measured and forgot .. 23" and maybe 26"? give or take a mm
sway bars (probably a dozen)
eibach coil springs
steering wheels
momo hub adapters
shocks (most are pretty worn)
brake rotors (951S front rotors and more)
pile of new headgaskets
heads - probably had 4 or 5
951 pistons - couple new in box
clutches
flywheels
ignition coils
power steering pumps
oil filters
924 CIS stuff
electrical stuff
lug nuts
jacks
jack stands
grease guns
assorted tools
Much of the stuff is used, but there are still plenty of 'new in box' parts as well.
While you're there - look for my sunglasses - I left them somewhere in all that stuff - they're black and have some eagle insignia on the side or something.
Tell him Mike sent you

Can someone go to this guy and pick up a set of turbo spindles for '87 and up for me?? That would be really awesome.

I never thought I'd wish I still lived in Sacto. . . but I do today. That sounds like the greatest garage sale in history. All you local guys who are scheduled to work should be feeling SICK right about now. . .

I was just up there today and did well. He willing to deal and has (as posted above) just a *&^%load of parts. There is a mix of 914 924(T) 944/951 and 928 parts so know what you are looking for. He says that he will keep selling for a while before involving the junk yard.
