Post Injector.com (marren injectors) experince?

I've recently sent out 4 injectors to be rebuilt by them, and I have used this set for a few months, today as I take the intake manifold off, I see carbon build up on cylinder 1&4 which ofcourse leads me to check the injectors, sure enough 1 and 4 are leaking, and #1 is also leaking externally. I've been using these injectors @ stock pressure since the rebuild for about 3 months and less than a week @ 3 bar, which shouldn't make a difference...

I decided to get mine rebuilt @ marren because of all the positive things I heard about them (mostly @ rennlist), I'm going to send them an e-mail and see what they think shortly. Anybody else have anything to share or add?
Thanks
Ahmet

I bought a set of injectors from them, good price and service, but now Guru Racing is selling injectors at a better price with list support.

For cleaning and rebuilding, Marren should do a good job.

Are they really rebuilt? I think they are just cleaned and flow/pattern checked. I had them do a set of 6 and they have been fine.

For my 944 I just made a quick rig to push acetone through and that seemed to clean them up nicely.

If yours are leaking, they may have been ready to leak anyway and no fault of Marren.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I had Marren do my injectors last year. Very fast turn around (about 1-2 days in their hands), and I had them back as promised. Car seems to run better after the cleaning. The accompanying report showed that at least 2 of them were a bit off on throughput and spray pattern. Guess that's to be expected at 130k+ miles (now at 145k).

I was very please with their service. No commercial interest, just a satisfied customer.

Thanks for the responses, I will wait to see what they'll say I suppose. I've posted this on a few other boards and the response has been mixed so far. I'm not really going to blame this on them, but may or may not decide to buy larger injectors from them as a result.

" sure enough 1 and 4 are leaking, and #1 is also leaking externally."

Where are they leaking? If it's about halfway down the body at the joint between the green plastic and black metal, your injector is toast. This typically happens when the injectors experience a lateral load of some sort when they're removed or installed. This bends the body and creates a gap at that joint. Sorry, nothing you or Marren can do at this point to fix it.

Well # 4 and # 1 leak, as in allow fuel to go past when they're not open, into the manifold/cylinder. #1 also leaks externally. Removing/reinstalling injectors isn't something I'm new to but I will also say that I have not taken special care to NOT put lateral loads on them when removing/re-installing.

I still don't want to upgrade, but it's getting a little silly to mess with used injectors. I should just buy a map kit, injectors and a bigger turbo and be done with this thing for a while, unless I can find a few stock injectors for cheap, funny how my brain works...

Ahmet,
I may have a couple of used stock injectors in the garage. If you need a couple let me know. I don't have 4, already gave one to another lister in need.

Yes I need two, if you don't mind parting with them, I'll gladly pay shipping etc.

I'd appreciate it if you could let me know at "ahmet@rennlist.com"
Thanks
Ahmet

PS: I have still not heard back from Marren.
