A month ago I replaced my rear driver's side blinker. It's out again today. What gives? I'm positive I bought the correct bulb. Could I possibly have an electrical problem causing undue load on it? (And no - I don't drive 55 in the high-speed lane with it on all the time
.)
TIA!

If the bulb actually burned out, it isn't unheard of to get a bad bulb with a very short life.
Put a new one in and see what happens. You didn't put in a 6 volt bulb did you? Over voltage is a sure way to burn out a bulb quickly so make sure it is a 12 volt bulb. You could test the scocket to see how many volts are getting down there. And there is the off chance your voltage regulator is crapping out and failing to limit voltage. But you should also notice all the lights in the car go crazy bright when ever that happens.

Thank you! I'll check that stuff out. It's amazing that no matter how stupid the question is, somebody on this board has some advice.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
