OT: Your fav. beer/shot/drink and whats in it

It's summertime, so I'll have a Negroni. Equal parts sweet vermouth, gin, and Campari. Serve over ice with a twist of lemon. It's tart, sweet, and a real refresher this time of year.

I am a dyed in the wool "bourbon man". Bourbon only comes from Kentucky, btw, if whiskey is made anywhere else...that is what it is "whiskey" not bourbon. (Ex. Jack, George Dickel, etc...)
**** Creek bourbon, with a splash and I do mean "splash" of water, over ice.
I will drink Basil Haydens, Baker's or Booker's bourbon if the bar/restaurant doesn't have **** Creek. If they have none of the above I will settle for Maker's Mark. No blended bourbons please.
Greygoose Vodka, on the rocks w/twist of lime, is nice in the summer sometimes also.
Beer: I like several different brews but I don't drink it that often.

As a Canadian, and a Maritime Canadian to boot....this is my area.
First off - a Cocaine lady is simply a White Russian (Vodka, Milk, Kaluha) with Coke (a-cola) topping it off. It's also knows as a Paralyzer.
Second off - that is my drink of choice. I'm a "girl-drink drunk". I like anything with color and flavour. As an ex-bar owner, I've experimented with them all.
As for beers, well - beers in Canada are twice the alcohol content than American beers, so I try and only drink them if someone buys them for me. I don't find beer very tasty, especially when it's 7.9% alcohol.
Here is a drink I developed that....
1. Allows the drinker to add more alcohol than he/she would in a normal situation, but without extra alcohol taste.
2. Has less of a hangover effect.
3. Can be passed between men and women and both will enjoy it.
This drink was developed after many a nite of mixing and testing. Here is what you do....
1. Take 3 (yes 3) shots of Gin (doesn't matter what kind, but don't be cheap) and pour in a tumbler full of ice.
2. Now take some Pink Lemonade (pulp free is better) and pour it in until the glass is almost fully (leave enough room for 2 more shots).
3. Top off with Lime Crush.
For some strange reason the right mixture of Pink Lemonaid and Lime Crush counteracts the Gin and you cannot taste it in the drink. Even with three shots, the taste of Gin is hardly noticable. I've put as many as 5 shots in before it tasted "like a drink". Keep in mind - I HATE Gin - so you can only guess just how good this drink will turn out if you make it - it's damn good.
Plus - Gin is "panty remover" (feed these drinks to the ladies and watch out) and I find Gin gives the lesser of hangovers.

Oh - I forgot - the name of the Gin Drink is "The House Special".
Another tip for those of you looking to get drunk fast and cheap, with lots of fun involved.
Simply take a brandy sifter (those lil' brandy glasses that are round, with smaller openings than it's circumference - and it has a base) and pour about 1.5 shots of Zambuca (smells like black licorish) in it. Then spin the glass around in your hands so that the entire inside is coated with Zambuca. Now take an ice cube and put it in your hand and rub it all over the palm of your hand (this is very important). Re-spin the glass so that the Zambuca re-coats the glass and tilt it to one side and light it with a lighter. The Zambuca will catch fire and immediately cover the glass with the wet hand (only after you see flames). The layer of water on your hand will prevent a burn. The combusion of the burning gases will cause your hand to "suck" into the glass somewhat (not a lot). The glass is now stuck to your hand (if you used the right size Brandy glass - it has to be the smaller sized ones...just make sure the top of the glass will fit in the palm of your hand). Now that the glass in stuck - shake it! You can do this with only one hand if desired - this glass will not come off as long as you keep your palm flat. The shaking will produce more alcohol fumes. After some shaking, pull the glass up to your mouth and bend your hand like your going to grasp something (as opposed to keeping it flat) - this will break the seal. Now quickly inhale the gases and then shoot the Zambuca.
What I have been told is that this technique causes the initial Zambuca to ferment or something while it burns, creating MORE alcohol. This additional alcohol is the gas you inhale before actually drinking the liquer. Plus, because the Zambuca was on fire for a moment - the zip of it's taste is lessened.
I don't know the physics of this drink, but the most I can do in one sitting is like 6 or 7....and I don't usually get a real buzz on until after splitting a 40oz'er with someone. So, do the math - I can normally drink like 20 shots - but only 7 of these. It's a very cheap way to get drunk - and it's a social event!!! Needless to say, this isn't a drink you have alone.

My general drug of choice is a pint of Bass ale, but I am definitly a fan of whiskey. While in Russia I have been trying their new brews (apparently vodka went out like communism), and while most of them are not worth the 50 cents they cost there are some good ones. Baltika has become a favorite, it comes in 10 different levels, 0 is non alcoholic, 10 is a good time. In general I am a beer and whiskey kinda guy, but not in the same night <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" />
