I prefer (in any order):
Spaten (Oktoberfest, Club Weisse Bier, Optimator)
Franzikaner, Hefeweissen and Dunkle-weissen (mmmm)
All Chimay labels
Leffe (mmmm, on draft in Paris)
Most micro brews
Most [real] german beer from german-land (that we can't get here) -it goes well with my german car nonetheless, too bad the germans didn't win the Cup(!)
Paulaner
Corona
Dos Equis
Negro Modelo
Guinness
Staropramen
Moet-Chandon, White Star
Veuve Cliquot
Most, but not all California wines (I am biased, Great-grandad bought acrage in the San Joaquin Valley in the twenties and we still grow a couple varietals)
Most agave Tequilas, but they have to be 100%!! no bull**** Cuervo crap: for those of you in San Francisco, Tommy's on 23rd/Geary is *the* place to go for a Tequila-only bar-restaurant
Caiperinia (using brazilian or s. american rum)
Mojito (soda water, mint and simple sugar are *not* optional)
Cosmopolitan
Jamaican Breeze (white rum, fresn ginger, cranberry juice, pineapple juice)
etc...
Skip: You spoke too fast!!!!

Deni--are you attending the M-M event?
Well gentlemen, I spend a lot of time in the wine country, so I have to say the best drink I've ever had is a 1994 Petite Syrah from the Fetzer Wine Library in Hopland, CAli. But on special occasions I always sip some Johnny Walker Black, like this past weekend when I attended a decent performance of Carmen in SF. I'm a Humboldt native, and so am partial to Lost Coast Brews, especially DownTown Brown, which I regularly drink a pitcher of at my fav bar in SF, Zeitgeist (Duboce and Valencia). But the joy of bouncing around Northern Cali means I get to sample the Lagunitas brews, Bear Republic out of Healdsburg, more Humboldt brews, and the occasional Guinness or, especially on a hot day like we've been having, a Boddington's from the tap. Otherwise, I've got a good little margarita recipe working right now, and when I'm lazy and want to get drunk fast, there's always the quick Screwdriver, 1/2 vodka, 1/4 OJ, 1/4 ice.
Does this mean I'm an alcoholic?

Krombacher Pils
Jaegermeister with coke, lemon, ice
Landwirths Steinhaeger (really good clear grain beverage. Really kinda funny because my last name is Steinhagen. No wonder I like it.)
Southern Comfort (real tasty to pass time)
Jack Daniels
Rumple Minze (or 1/2 rumple minze 1/2 jack daniels also very tasty)
Grand Marnier
7 and 7 (Seagrams 7 and 7 up)
and I only know this because my dad told me. Because Im 18 and of course, like anyone under 21, never had a taste of alcohol. (sarcasm)
this is kinda the order or partying:

Mr. Bates must be out of town. I scrolled to the end just to see if he has any comments. <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[nono]" />
I'll take the original Sam Adams (Boston Lager) anyday. I like a good red wine, especially cabernet. I don't have a favorite, but I enjoy trying different ones. And on rare occasions I'll homebrew some beer which is always interesting.

I like black and tan, michelobe's is respectable. Hard to find around here some times.
I make a homebrew of choclate honey in the winter. when I can get it cold enough to get the yeast to work.. 50 -60 degrees.. little extra malt and sugar get it up to 7 or so. 3 mos. later smooth and fine.. If you never have brewed your own. you should. it is a whole diferent world..

[QB]Local beers mostly (Pyramid, Redhook) - seasonal stuff is great here (micro-brew central). Alaskan Amber, New Belgium Fat Tire, Big Sky Moose Drool, and the ever popular Deschutes Black Butte Porter (I can and will live on this - pork chop in a bottle)
Fun drinks are Buttery Nipple Shots and The Mudslide (ala TGI Friday's).
Friday is "Wish I was at the Hacienda" day filled with Margaritas and Corona.

Ah, yes, we have discussed Red Hook before! Love it. Fat tire - great stuff too. Anchor Steam is another great in that vein. Margs - yup, standard around mi casa. Corona - I go for Negra Modelo (with lime wedge squz in and dash of salt) myself.

PS - Olympics - veering off topic here, sort of - anyone in Seattle area ever seen that public access cable show that has "The International Bong Hit Olympics," or something like that, where they have a phone and people just call in and then their hits are timed?
