OT: Your fav. beer/shot/drink and whats in it

I'm mostly a beer and whisky guy - although I do really enjoy red wine with meals.
For beers I fancy Sam (fresh on tap is unbeatable), Pilsner Urquell and Brooklyn Lager.
Whisky's I run the gamut - but am very partial to single-malts (Balvenie 21 is my top choice right now), and am discovering bourbons more.

My favorite mixed drink is an oatmeal cookie. Tastes just like one....with a little punch.
Ice
1 part kahlua
1 part baileys
1 part cinnamon schnopps
a dash of milk
Oh, and since they go down so easy....be carefull, because getting drunk with a drink made with milk is not recommended. Ask me how i know.

Beer- Bridgeport IPA (Portland, Oregon) I can't get this in Charlotte, but a buddy is in town from PDX and brought me a six pack! Woo hoo!
Drink- Mojito (Cuban origin...'discovered' it in South Beach, only to find out everyone I talk to already knows of it) Put mint leaves and sugar in the bottom of a tall glass. Add white rum and lime juice, and an optional splash of soda. Mash with a sugar can stalk and enjoy.
Shot- Tequila

Being broke and under 21, my friends and i usually just buy a 1 3/4 liter bottle of McCormick's Vodka (Pee into a can of paint thinner and you get the idea), and a six pack of Honey Brown beer. However, when i'm not drinking (Which is usually the case), i drink Gatorade by the bushel.

Ok, I'm usually very particular about my drinks, like the kind of vodka that goes into my black-russians. But after this 4th of July celebration, I'd have to say that ANY drink that's slurped off a sorority chic's body is the BEST!!!

Beers...
Becks is my normal brew. I will also drink Heineken, St. Pauly's Girl, Amstel Light (not enough alcohol though), Dox Equis, and Bass Ale if I am drinking decent beer. If I am drinking crappy beer, I usually go for Coors Light. Natural Light, the college beer of choice, is disgusting out of anything but a keg, which is it suprisingly tasty out of.
Drinks: Black and Tan (Guinness floating on Bass Ale, 50/50), Irish Carbomb (shot of Jameson and Baileys dropped into 10 ounces of Guinness, drank fast enough for the Baileys not to curdle), Liquid Cocaine (Rumplements, Jaeger, Goldschlager, sometimes with a dash of 151 rum, and when the 151 is set ablase, its called a freebase shot...I think there is another drink similar to both of these known as a screaming **** and a flaming ****, respectively), Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum, straight up or in a coke, and of course I like girly drinks like Pina Coladas, Rum Runners, Margaritas, Daquiris, etc.
I don't drink liquor too much because me or someone in my liquor drinking group always seems to get in some kind of trouble. I usually like to stick to beer if I am going out to the bars because I don't end up waking up with $100 credit card reciepts stuffed in my pockets from buying insanely expensive top shelf liquor drinks and mixers. I also like beer because it is rare I will ever have a hangover for more than an hour after I wake up, while I have had two day hangovers from bad liquor nights in my ameture drinking days.

ah, St. Pauly Girl brings back memories...
beer - Widmer Hefeweizen. i won't touch american ****-water beer. though Henry's Dark is good.
drinks - Mudslides is the game. we ordered Banana Daqueries at a club once. the bar tender was out of bananas so he use banana liqueur instead. tasted just like lemonade and went down smooth...

Alex951,
Yeah, Rasputin is brewed in Fort Brag, Ca. and has been awarded time and time again.
1. Bigfoot Barleywine (Sierra Nevada)
2. Gnarlywine (Lagunitas)
3. Rasputin Imperial Stout (North Coast)
4. Old Crustacean Barleywine (Rogue)
5. My homebrew
6. Red Seal Cask Conditioned (North Coast)
7. Old Boardhead Barleywine (Full Sail)
Do you guys in the Midwest or East Coast get any of these?

For a good stiff drink I'll take Jägermeister any day.
For beer I like Köld, Corona, and Heineken.
As for a nice stiff shot... My friends and I drink something of our own creation
1 part Jägermeister
1/2 part Chartreuse
1/2 part Glayva (or St Hubertus in substitute)
We call it The Demon.
Damn that's good stuff! (guaranteed to warm you up on a cold day)

well scott just beat me to most of my favorite local brews... i had actually heard rumor of the old rasputin stout back east, but i never got to try it til i moved out here. it is like no other!! skip if you like the black butte porter (another of my favorites) you *must* try this beer!
the sierra nevada bigfoot barleywine is pretty good, albiet a tad sweet. i had a much better barleywine back east... 17% if i recall correctly and not so sweet that you balk at a second one.
i've been drinking a lot of lagunitas IPA lately... i find an ice cold ipa to be about as refreshing as a beer can get on a hot summer day.
chris wins best chaser award so far i believe...
as for hard liquor, i am a bourbon on the rocks man... i also enjoy shots of tequila, but nothing cheaper than hornitos...
ribs:
as contrary as it seems, the stout actually floats on top of the lager in a black and tan. and a screaming **** is jagermeister and rumpleminz... mmmmmmm. that's about as mixed as i like my drinks.
who here has had the pleasure of experiencing "devil's springs" vodka? this was one of my staple liquors back in college. it is unfortunately not avaliable here as i guess california hippies are too wussy to handle 160 proof vodka. it's 80% ethanol content makes it ideal for leeching active ingredients from other substances... i made some "green dragon" that would knock you on your face with the second shot. i once saw a stupid kid pour some into a paper cup. he was suprised when about 10 seconds later it melted through.
hey 944sboyee: is maudite considered crap beer in canada? i used to like it until a friend from montreal told me it is **** beer fortified with grain alcohol and only fit for consumption if you sleep on the street...
space cowboy you better be in a frat otherwise there is no excuse for drinking "jungle juice". when i see beer and $5 vodka getting poured into pinapple juice, i leave.
oh yeah and jager is the only drink scientifically proven to warm you up on the ski lift!
