Default Fuel injector rebuild/reseal question.

I'm currently in the process of rebuilding/resealing my fuel injectors because my #4 and #3 pintle caps are cracked.

Anyway, I have the injectors removed, and after using whats included in the kit with the new parts FROM PORSCHE, I'm not sure that it's correct.

1 O-ring on the back

injector body

gray spacer
1 O-ring
Pintle cap.

the Pintle cap is "taller" than the old ones, as is the gray spacer. the Pintle itself does not stick through the cap like it did with the old caps. is this a problem? TIA.

Geoff,

I think there was a problem with the Porsche re-seal kits having the wrong pintle caps in them. Paragon has a note about it on their web page for the seal kits.

I was just going through the different sites trying to find the right seals for my 968, but in the end decided to just send them out.

yeah, I did notice that note, but the note said that these were the correct pintle caps... it's freaking me out though, I want to ensure that I have the proper atomization and spray pattern....

Picture of a rebuilt injector from 94online. I have delt with the caps in a while since after market injectors don't use them.

you can go to kragen and get a niehoff kit for ford injectors that is exactly the same parts for $3 apiece.
