Default Dash kits: Who has tried them? Which are good/not good?

http://www.jageng.com/garage9/produc...9a5cbe775d39b9

I'm trying to determine if these are up to snuff, and there's no good picture.

It seems that these, along with everything else available, just kind of sticks over the existing plastic, and I can't see how that could possibly not look like crap.

Does anyone have this installed? How's it look?

Edit: And what about : http://www.9xauto.com/944dash.html ?

Wow. Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou.

I was actually going to custom metalworks shops, offering them thousands if necessary to duplicate the dash trim parts in aluminium, but no one even answered my email.

Many web searches for something precisely like that turned nothing up.

Thank you.

Jager Engineering is great stuff and a good price. I'm going to be using their CF trim kit in my car.

I dunno, it doesn't look *bad*, per se, but you can clearly see gaps where it's stuck on, around the buttons and so forth.

I think I prefer the 9xauto route, if it looks at all like the pictures. Has anyone tried this one?

That's an interesting Momo wheel there. It's got 8 bolts on the hub rather than the usual 6. What's up with that?

there you go again greg, making us all feel ****ty about our interiors.

devon, i have an infiniti that sold for $50k new and it has the plastic wood-looking trim in it and it looks great. you dont really notice any gaps if its done right.

you have to drop some serious coin in order to get actual wood in cars, like jaguars, bentleys and the like

Well don't buy the ebay kits, you get what you pay for(a cheap sticker).

I'd say jageng makes the best kit

2nd Keithr726. Pulled everything apart after purchasing the 88' and put a cover on the cracked dash. Fit & looked fine here at home & garaged. Noticed bubbles in the dash when my son came home on spring break. He has no garage & had not used the window cover several times running from the parking lot to get to class on time.

Yeah, yeah, I get it, you think I'm fussy. I don't mind a veneer, I just don't want gaps to show.

I take it from the lack of response that no one has tried this:

http://www.9xauto.com/944dash.html

I guess I get to be the guinea pig. At $500 plus the core charge, it's hard to go wrong.

that is just a cover over top of the 6 bolts that hold the wheel to the hub
