or ... how to remove such a lock? no room on the outside to hammer a socket on. even a thin wall.

are these just oem porsche locks? or something aftermarket?
yea chances are slim someone would have the same one. but there's usually only 8 or 10 patterns. the master sets aren't that numerous

Duh! I was looking at the pic as that of the key. Guess he wouldn't be asking for the key if he had it in his hand!
Nothing to see here...move along....

You could cheat a little too. get a socket that is just too small to fit around the wheel lock. pound it on with a baby sledge (3 lb or less), and then remove as normal. Each time I've done this I have split or cracked the socket, so use a crafty socket instead of snap-on, as sears will replace it for you no questions asked.
:edit: just saw you have already tried the socket trick, sorry. Could try a chisel bit in an air-hammer and walk the socket around. do that as a last resort (or a last resort being the torch), and practice a bit before you unload on that wheel lock, so you don't damage your wheel.
Good luck

some tire shops have socket sets that are just tapered and round, they are made to just put pressure on these and get them off with an impact.
take a trip to a sears or sam's club tire shop and ask if they can get them off for you.
