Thumbs up Installed 931 header panel on my 944 this weekend......

I painted and installed the 931 header panel on my car this weekend. I still need to buff it out after it cures for a week and finish aligning the passenger h/l cover, but I think it looks pretty good. The car seems to run a little cooler (not that it ran hot before). The car is dirty in these photos, I had it out for a spirited spin before I took the photos.

This was not a simple bolt-on. The two outside vents hit the bracket under the panel. I had to get the dremel out and "modify" the brackets under the panel on the car.

Opinions?

I think it looks SWEET!!!!!
I wish the header panel was the same contour as the S2 as I would love to add one to my car...

Nicely done!

Cheers,

Thaz very nice!

Although, sadly, I no longer feel like my 944 has a unique color.

But hey, at least it makes it easier to visualize what it would look like! Unfortunately, this forum is giving me all kinds of ideas for things that I cannot afford.

Well, I suppose I could afford it... I mean, I don't really need both kidneys to live!

I likey!
Did you decide on the nose? 951 style or Carrera GT?
That car is lookin' good. It reminds me of all the work I need to do before 944Fest.

Hey Pete! I drove by your house yesterday and thought about stopping by...

Definetly doing the 951 repro nose. This is the look I am going for (this is Sam Grant's car that I have butchered with Photoshop):

You should have stopped, I was hame all day.

I like the look with the possible exception of the headlights. I haven't heard any good reviews from people who've done the fixed light/clear cover thing.
The splitter looks badass, though.

OK, how about this?:

Yeah, I have heard that the GT lights don't work all that great. But I like the look and am not a fan of pop-up headlights. Plus, I rarely drive my car in the dark.....

I dunno, I may just leave the regular pop-up lights on, it's hard to say. I change my mind often, ya know?

I like that better. Get Iceshark's light kit and you'll be good to go. All you need after that is a nice 3.1L from John Anderson.
