Default 215 50's on 928 slot wheels?

just got my car back running and have some used 16x6 trashcan lids to put on. looking at tires, what tire types are people running on these wheels? i'd love to put 215's on there, but mostly am seeing 225's on the web.

if its 16x6 am i looking at 215/225 x 45 or 50?

thanks

Not sure I can help you, but you should post pictures of your car.

i will.. sorry

are yours 225?

i was thinking about duplicolor spray painting mine. I llike the s4 look a little more than the chrome early look that mine have.

225/50 would be a closer match to stock size tires

Haha, ok.

Humm... The fronts-205/55/16 and the rears are 225/50/16.

I have a 924S and tried fitting 225 50 r16's mounted on 928 phonies last weekend.

The rears fit fine. The fronts rub on the springs. I'm not sure what kind of spacer will be required, but it looks (not tested) like the spacer necessary to move the tire away from the spring will cause the tire to rub on the wheel well. I'd say 225 50's are too big for the front.

205/55 is good for 16x6's.
225/50 are good for 16x7's. Any 924S will need to watch carefully for rubbing when using 225's. They can fit, but will be quite tight. 205's are a snap to fit.

Mine are 205/55/16's (on the turbo, original wheels).
