Default Bumped into a prob with my model!!!!

me and a buddy were into building models when we were younger. we saw the thread about the 944 turbo model and started searching around. i found a 944 turbo model and my friend is a long time beetle fan so he got a beetle.

my 944 turbo model and his 1966 beetle model

these were just cuz we were bored

we plan on doing some pretty nice custom work on these. we will keep you guys updated on the progress.

How about a 931 nose panel?

Put the Beetle engine in the 951 and the 951 engine in the Beetle...

I bought this model too, but never got around to putting it together. Even bought some flaking to do the carpet look for the interior.

Don't forget to paint it with a roller for that extra bit of authenticity.

Cool, I was just talking about models with my coworker/buddy today. We were saying it would be cool to install fiber optics to light up the dash and exterior lights! For added realism, install a little tank of oil that will leak.

I had the same idea a while back, with a different twist. I haven't done much on it since, but it is destined to happen eventually. Check this out:
