Stripe or Not???
I have an original (un-molested) Red 944 89 turbo low miles 60K. The car is being painted. It had a hand painted black pin stripe. The shop told me it would be to costly to hand paint it back on. The said they would tape it and spray it back on.
Question:
Stripe or No Stripe???
Thanks,
Will

Pin stripes? Heck no. To me, they're like white wall tires.
I thought you were going to ask about Rally Stripes, which I keep thinking about. But even then, I'd go with vinyl not paint.

it is my humble opinion that pinstripes on a 944 are horrible things overweight dentists did to their new 944s to impress their secretary.
the coolness of 944 wore off in the early 90s and the realized how silly they looked rolling in and out of a sports car so they sold their 944s and bought infinitys with the gold plated emblems.
the lines of a 944 and 2nd gen RX7 are not made for pinstripes.

I would also say no to pinstripes. However, there is a newbie on the 944T section, and I'd have to say his stripped car looks beautiful.
