Default 87 951 chassis for sale

I am going to part out my ’87 951 next week and am checking to see if anyone would want the chassis. This would be perfect for either a full blown race car or if someone has rear damage. Title is clear and carfax is clean. I figure doing this upfront would be easier since if the potential buyer wanted to keep anything on the car it would be less things I have to take off!

Base price: $300.00 <--- Negotiable!

Includes: Basic structure, brand new windshield, rear torsion, gas tank and associated hardware, stripped interior, side glass, hatch, sunroof , front end chassis wiring and misc. small bits and clean title.

Will NOT include: front end, suspension, braking system, engine and associated equipment, transmission, any interior pieces, exterior add on bits, a/c equipment…basically stripped!

I plan on leaving the crossmember on the car and using caster wheels with the u-joints to keep it movable. The rear will have two spares on it. If buyer would like anything left on the car, the price will be adjusted accordingly. Ie: if you want the front end body, it will be $xxx.xx + $300. Chassis should be available for pickup in about 2 weeks depending on the weather.

If you have any questions or want more info, just let me know!

Thanks,
Clint

Rear bumper, doors and hood.....yes. Front bumper, header panel and valence...will cost extra.

I'm keeping all the parts on it that are difficult to sell like the doors gas tank, etc. I have enough of those parts from my S2 that I still haven't sold!

Funny, I just posted an 87 951 engine and LSD tranny that needs a good chassis within an hour of your post. :-)

v2rocket- I'm going to sell the front end as a package unless someone wants it with the chassis. Either way...fenders, bumper cover and support, fog lights and signals/ markers, header panel and headlights, hardware...$550. Perfect for the N/a guys who want the turbo/s2 front end!

Mello- Maybe we can find someone who wants a project!

It's a good looking car from the pic - what's so wrong with it that requires parting?

Simply put, I tired of throwing time and money at it. Main engine harness is falling to pieces now. Sure, I could replace it...but I won't. You have to draw the line somewhere, I have replaced nearly all of the mechanical parts on the car including the engine/turbo/suspension/steering. Point is, I have driven the car less than 50 miles in 2 years and I have over $9k into it. At some point you have to give up!
So, I will part it and take the cash to put towards another 951!

PS: the paint is faded...looks good in pics but it needs to be resprayed.

So long as you get another 951... I felt the same way as you (and my body is toast) but when the car finally runs right
