You need 86 turbo spindles hubs and rotors as well as steering linkages. Does your car have ABS? That kind of plays with things. You also need the rear hubs from an 86 951 if you are wanting to keep the aluminum trailing arms, otherwise you could use the whole trailing arm assembly out of an older 944 with steel ones.

In summary, I would take the rear-ends out of both cars, swap your turbo torsion bars into your NA torsion tube setup as it has early offset. Then, buy my early offset 86 turbo spindles hubs and rotors, find a set of early offset tie rods, and you are jake, BUT you will never get 15's to fit over turbo calipers.

With all that hassle, why not buy a set of cool late offset wheels and leave the fuchs on the N/A? Or sell the Fuchs on the N/A, replace with cookies, and use that money to buy new wheels for the turbo?

i bolted the 15's on yesterday. they fit over the 951 caliper with a 1/4 inch spacer. only reason why i wanted to do this is because the fuchs have snow tires on them and with 15's on the rear i will get better gearing. if the fuchs had 205 tires instead of 215's it would work. with the 1/4 inch spacer the and 215's the tire sticks out about 1/4 of an inch.

When you originally asked about the early and late offset wheels, I only pointed out that the Phone Dials and Cookie Cutter wheels which have a 23.3mm early offset and the 52.3mm late offset can be interchangable provided that you go with a smaller tire size or a different alignment setting.

I never thought you were referring to the Fuchs as they are totally different offset and won't fit properly without sticking outside of the fenders. This could pose a problem if you hit a big dip in the road. You might also have tire rubbing when you make a u-turn too. It is not advisable to do what you are doing.

I never put 205 tires with a 1/4 inch spacer on my car. You should have mentioned that you have an early NA and a late Turbo as that makes a big difference due to the size of the brake calipers.

Also aren't the Fuchs 15x7 and 15x8 from your early NA? Turbo's run 16x7 and 16x8 wheels.

I think the 911 fuchs ordered for the 944 are the wheels from a 930. Different offset than the 911 IIRC. The offset creates a problem with the scrub radius when swapping between late/early. Thus the ABS problems. I really do not think I would go to the trouble trying to go backward if it is just some wheels you are trying to utilize.

In addition, I would expect wheel bearing failure with early wheels on a late car.

Only the 9X16 930 Fuchs are different than all of the 911 Fuchs. They do fit over the 951 calipers. The front's aren't any different than the standard 911 Fuchs.

I have never seen a 944 that came from the factory with 930 9" fuchs on it. 7's and 8's were the norm for special order.

That sounds correct. I hate to spout factual data from memory.

I don't think 15"s will go over turbo S brakes.

That's because of the huge hat on the late offset. It shoves the Fuchs out far enough. It wouldn't work on an early car (86) without spacers and even then it looks funky (my opinion) and you are hampered with only 7's on the rear (again my opinion) that sorta stick out.
