Post Who here can start a group buy on the AJUSA 930S wheel?

If we can get a few clams off by buying several then someone needs to start this thing off.

Who's interested?

If you haven't seen it please go to www.ajusa.com and search for the 930S wheel. You'll love it.

Yeah, I'm up for this. Can we (perhaps?) get this wheel for less than about $250? I also want the Cloisonne crest for the wheel. How many want that too?

ELLSSUU, Your sign off is supposed to be what?
I can deal with it but it's racist and offensive to some.

Far from it and a little "perturbed" that you would incenuate that I am anything other than honorable, but just in case I've removed it. FYI, I live in Cajun country and many people here (white, green, black, purple) speak a dialect all to their own which closely resembles the note I had previously. It in no way was supposed to be in the least bit offensive, but more of a reflection of my hellashish local search for equipment for my car.

I'm resisting the challange to let anyone know how increduously insane it would be to call my sign-off racist.

i'd prolly be in for just over 200 but not much more. Its an incredable wheel but then again it is just a steering wheel.

i'd be happy to contact the company if you guys want. Just let me know, or someone else can do it. it doesn't really matter to me

ELLSSUU, I didn't insinuate anything nor did I call you anything, certainly not dishonorable.
I think we're dealing with regional differences here. If so and I have erred, my apologies. Maybe in Louisiana your signoff would be read as humor, but here? Nope, they would be fighting words. Again, if my comment offended you, my apologies.

You still had a good idea about the Ajusa wheel discount and I'd like to pursue it.

Again, no hard feelings, just making an obsevation/offering an opinion.

Cool

I called AJ-USA about getting a bulk order og these wheels but we are talking like 25+ before we could possibly get a great deal. I do not have the details yet at this point but I will keep all of you informed as to where this is going. In the mean time shoot me an email with AJ-USA Wheel in the subject line and I will start a list. We need like 20-25 persons to commit so start posting responses only if you are serious. No back outs or the deal may not work. Right now as it stands the package with the wheel, crest and mounting hub is $332. So the more person’s involved, I will assume the better the deal.

I meant to post this earlier ...

I just got my 968CS wheel from Jim at Clair Parts in Boston. With the PCA discount it was $374 for the wheel (with the crest on it) and hub - it lists for $440. It had to be ordered from Germany but it only took 2 weeks to come in.

For the difference in price ($40) I'd get the factory wheel instead of the AJUSA wheel - which is a reproduction not a factory wheel. For one, you get the embossed crest plus I've been told the leather is better - more factory like.

I'd call Jim to see if he can do anything on the price if you bought a bunch. The PCA discount is already 15% but maybe he can take a few bucks more off.
You can contact Jim at mailto:jlogan@clair.com and here's their website www.clairparts.com

Are you talking about the factory 968 cs wheel with the embossed crest, or the aftermarket model that AJUSA sells. If it is the 968 cs wheel, you've definitely got a buyer in me. Additionally, I imagine there would be quite a demand for it. Perhaps we could do a group buy of sorts so that there was only one shipment from Germany, then disperse it from somewhere in the US. (did I just volunteer... oops!)

I just placed an order today for the 968cs wheel from Sunset Porsche for something like $330 + 15%, but it looks like Porsche just recently ran out of stock. Right now, I've got to wait till Porsche makes another batch.

Ah, the 968 CS wheel - one of life's finer pleasures. If you can get it for $250 - DO IT! You won't be disappointed.

On the 968cs wheel, ordering through that place in the UK seems to be rather prohibitive right now. The dollar seems to be worth 15%-20% less than it was relative to the pound/euro a few months ago. The crappy exchange rate almost makes me feel kind of Canadian.

i doubt they will knock over $100 off their price because of a small group of people, but around $200 sounds good to me for the ajusa wheel + crest...... unless you can get the real porsche wheel for $250 then forget buying an imitation one

still doesnt feel right to be paying that much for a steering wheel but ever since i bought my porsche i have gotten usedto insane prices for little things

the stock 951 wheel is much more expensive than the 968 CS wheel!!!
yes I am talking about the 968 CS wheel
If we can get more than 5 people I can get it through the manufacturer. Who needs Porsche for that?
I have the Cs whell and the 911 Gt1 wheel and the raised hub 951 wheel and some others. The Cs an dthe GT1 wheels are the two most pretty in my opinion
