if I ship them all together to the US the shipping cost would be something like $10 for everyone.
I will ask tomorow if the old deal is stil good. If so i will order five of them. I sugest that i ship them all togehther to someone in the US and he can ship them to others or I will check the shipping cost separatelly, but I think ship them all together would be cheaper.
The wheel includes the hub too. The extra Porsche crest can be ordered from porsche only and cost extra $50 otherwise you must live with a horn button woithout the Porsche crest or you can put the original Porsche crest (the one that is on the front hood) on the wheel. I have one that looks fine. I will make a pic and post it to my web site.

</strong><hr></blockquote>If it's anything like the timeframe I've got going with Konstantin you'll be lucky to get them by Labor Day, but just to be on the safe side better plan on Christmas. Seriously, if my experience it typical don't expect fast results.

Actually, it sounds like the wheel that Konstantin can provide is exactly like AJUSA's wheel (without crest). Not surprisingly, Porsche won't let anyone else sell a part with the Porsche logo. I am sure that all of Porsche's parts manufacturers have contracts which disallow them from selling and items with Porsche logos to anyone other than Porsche.
AJUSA has the wheel now for $299, Konstantin can get it for $250 + shipping, and Sunset Imports will sell it for about $375 plus shipping with the Porsche embossed logo when the next batch is built by Porsche. If I wasn't so **** and particular I would go with Konstantin, but as it is, I'm gonna have to wait for the crested wheel and pay way more.
I feel stupid!

yes I am talking about the 968 CS wheel
If we can get more than 5 people I can get it through the manufacturer. Who needs Porsche for that?
I have the Cs whell and the 911 Gt1 wheel and the raised hub 951 wheel and some others. The Cs an dthe GT1 wheels are the two most pretty in my opinion

Well above Konstantin states it will be the 968 wheel just without the crest which you can get from the dealer for $50. There is a difference between the two wheels besides the crest so I am only in if it is the 968 wheel.</strong><hr></blockquote>
I figured that meant the cloisonne crest.
I just looked at PET and it looks like the horn button is available separately as part number 968 347 059 00 8YR. I'm going to call Sunset Imports tomorrow to see if this is still available. If it is, I guess I am in as well.

</strong><hr></blockquote>The cloisonne crest only comes on the 930S wheel. The 968 CS wheel has the embossed crest as shown in the picture above.
I've had both the AJ 930S wheel and the 968CS wheel. As I stated previously, both are made by the same manufacturer, but the construction techniques are totally different.
If you look at the picture above you'll see that the genuine wheel is made from one piece of leather, with stitching at the top and bottom of the horizontal spokes. This means the rear of those spokes is just as smooth as the front.
The AJ wheel is made from multiple pieces of leather, more like a MOMO. The leather on the spokes wraps around and has a seam in the rear where it is bonded.
I actually think the leather on the AJ 930S wheel is nicer than on the Porsche wheel... it's softer and smoother. But I didn't like the feel of the underlying foam... it was too soft and cushy, and I liked the one piece leather better so I never installed the AJ wheel. It's certainly a nice wheel... I just preferred the real thing.

I don't really like the 930S because of the multiple pieces of leather. It just doesn't look as good the way the stitching is. I never saw or touched any of them in person this is just my opinion based on the pictures I have seen.

Okay, the 968cs horn pad is currently available from Porsche in Germany. Cost is $37.78 + 15% + shipping from Sunset Imports.
So with the help of Konstantin, looks like we can get a genuine 968cs wheel for just a tad over $300. I'm definitely in!

Fascinating... So is it possible to order the factory 930S (with cloisonne crest) horn pad too?
That way, you could change the look of your steering wheel at any time.

LOL, damn what did I start! <img src="graemlins/yltype.gif" border="0" alt="[typing]" />
I am very interested in the 968 Club
sport wheel, but I want the embossed Porsche crest also.
So my understanding is that the wheel costs 250.00 and the horn pad with embossed crest cost 50.00, correct?
Count me in!
