Arrow Central Locking System

Since I have bought my car, the power locks have not worked. Not with the key, not with the button. But the button lights up as it should. And yesterday I unplugged the CLS control unit, and tested for power at the plug, and all of the correct terminals had power (I think, there were around 6 of them). I think this means that my CLS control unit is bad. So, where can I find one, and for how much. Also, is there anyway to bypass it and just test if thats the problem. Thanks.

Same here... mine worked great before the fire. I thought it was a micro switch problem, but after replacing both, nothing has changed.

If you lock the drivers with the key, it will immediately unlock. Passenger power does not work at all. If you manually lock each door, the indicator will light on the switch (microswitches operative), however, the switch will not operate the locks.

Suggestions??

Yeah, this is on my '88, look up under the dash on the driver side, it's attached to the steering column. Mine has a 911.something part number on it.

Bret: thanks

Perry: That sounds ALOT like what mine does, except mine likes to lock itself while driving and the ONLY way to unlock is from the outside key!

If it's unlocking when you try to lock the door from outside, sounds like a bad door sensor maybe? I think they unlock if you try to lock the door when it is open.

Those things rarely brake only go that route after you looked at the actuators and door switches. anything that moves has a much better change of braking than something that stands still. So work your way back from one of the doors.

I looked at the driver's door, maybe I'm just not sure what I'm looking at. I think I need a picture or a really good description. Thanks.
