Default 924GTR LeMans Rear Spoiler - Real or Memorex?

Can anyone identify whether this rear spoiler I have is a factory original part or reproduction [like from GT Racing]? This rear spoiler came attached to my Rothman Turbo Cup car when I first bought it, however it is not original to the Turbo Cup- they came with a standard 944 rear spoiler. I was told it was a real Porsche factory part as it has the PORSCHE script inlaid in the rear and supposedly the reproductions do not.
Note that it has been cut at the front 'hockey stick' area. [see pic]. Picture of red car is for reference.

Thanks! John

Fiberglass. The lip is about 2" high, total rear section is 3" tall. Weight is 6.5 lbs.

its a copy of the 937 GTS or GTR spoiler, made by AIR. they made them with the porsche script up to a certain point before they had to stop.

So are you saying that you have one from AIR that has the 'PORSCHE' inlaid script? Do you know when they stopped the inlaid script? Do you know any distingushing characteristics between a factory original and the AIR repro piece?

I found the part on the AIR web site, but they have no pictures or description of their product. I also could not find it for sale at Performance Products as suggested by V2Rocket.

Before I bought it, my Turbo Cup car was last raced in 1990 in the IMSA Supercar series so that makes this rear spoiler at least that old.

Thanks, John

I don't know when they stopped making the scripted version, i bought mine second hand. The OEM spoiler is one piece and actually did not have the script.

There is also version of this spoiler that is one piece that was made by Holbert for race cars that Horsepower farm had on his car. His was not fiberglass but foamy and i doubt the OEM piece is fiberglass.

OEM

bumping a very old thread. Is the AIR piece the same size as or bigger than a 944 rear spoiler?
