NAY

99% of aftermarket steering wheels look awful, especially in a 944.

I bet the inner metal piece that it is structured around is thin. This will make the SW flex like there is no tomorrow.

I agree you shouldn't cheap out on a steering wheel, but that is REALLY cheap, it might be worth a try (with an understanding that you might just be throwing away $45). I suggest you go to Checker or Autozone or even NAPA and handle their cheap steering wheels. If those pass your own personal feel test then you might go for this one at NewEgg. If not, stay away.

Spending good money on a quality steering wheel is an excellent way to dramatically increase the feel and look of your car and improve your driving experience.

It looks like a copy of the Momo Jet wheel. Which I have a love to death.
I say for $45 why not give it a try. If it looks bad (and/or flexes) you can just put it on the wall in the garage. lol.

But this is usually the kind of steering wheel you would want to buy from newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...eering%20wheel

You can get really nice used momos on ebay for under $100.

A buddy of mine has that wheel - or at least one very similar (his has blue stitching). Bought it off of eBay for $65 and it included an adapter for his car (not a Porsche). The wheel is at least 1" smaller than my Prototipo (which is about 1" smaller than the factory wheel). I don't like the wheel one bit and there's no way I'd recommend it.

most aftermarket wheels ive seen look like ***, they completely clash with the interior, especially the all-wood rimmed ones. if you want a wheel with wood make it only partial wood rim and get the rest of the trim done in wood as well, otherwise it just looks odd.

It actually came with the wood trim and I chose to remove it. Too many fake trees died for my interior as it is. I'm going to hold out until I can't resist buying a 930 wheel any longer.
