Post 944 Abuse

So While my 944 is in storage during this long, cold, no-snow winter here in Wisconsin and I am christmas shopping with my mom and girlfriend for this lovely season. OK then, So I am leaving a store today and while walking to my VW I see a red 944 parked in the parking lot, so of course I go and check it out. When I got to this 944 I could not believe my eyes, Salt all over the car, silver phone dials that were black from all of the break dust, Gaurds red paint that was more like faded orange, cracked foglight lenses, cracked windshield, Broken tailight, torn black leather interior, and of course worst of all, the cars interior was full of boxes, old fast-food bags and soda cups, papers, and alcohol cans. There was so much **** in this car's back seat that you couldn't see out of the back hatch window. After looking at this 944 I was so pissed off that I wanted to sit there and wait for this guy to come outside to his car and have a nice long talk with him about 944 abuse!

Its 944 owners like this guy that give 944&951 owners like us bad rep's!

i have seen a few 924 around that are covered with fast food wrappers inside, stickers from bands / colleges outside and pretty beaten.... damn kids dont have any respect for their cars! oh wait everyone i know says im not allowed to say damn kids since i am still one myself.

who cares if 944 owners have a "bad rep"? at this point i dont care that my car says porsche on it or what people think about it (positive or negative) i just love driving it... even if i do always get my *** kicked when i autocross, but thats ok too because i still have fun.

Don't worry too much about it, when the guy gets tired of it somebody may get a good deal on a track car.

Pulling out of a Mac's 24hour convenience store, tonight, I noticed a red 83 944n/a going up the street. So in my red 951 I thought it'd be fun to catch up, and pull alongside my little brother and meet the friendly waterpumper.

When I pulled up beside him, I noticed how dirty and old the car looked. I had just washed my car 2 hours before, and even used tire shine on my wheels and all my rubber trim, so my car looked almost brand new. And add the fact that (I think) 951s look a bit nicer than regular 944s... well, we gave each other the nod of approval, and he kinda looked longingly at my 951. I could tell he wished his looked as nice.

I dunno, I think good NA can look just as sweet as a 951....call me biased, but I really dont hate the big bumper at all...kinda reminds me of a 308 I think my little NA looks awesome even when I cant get around to washing and waxing it.

Well, I'm at Brown in Providence but am from Freetown MA and am there quite frequently...it's near Fall River and Dartmouth and Taunton....u may know at least one of those places. Just a quiet country town w/ nice windy roads.

Hey guy. Watch what you say about us 944 owners that drive cars that may not be showroom condition.

I work 3 Jobs, currently busier than a one-armed paperhanger; I'm single so any shopping/cleaning/cooking is done by yours truly. And while I love my 944 I just don't have time to take her to the car wash as often as I'd like.

There's nothing I'd like more than keep the faithful Gomorrah as pretty as can be, while keeping up with her mechanicals. But just the fact that she is reliable enough to take to work everyday is enough.

Not all of us have high-powered salaries and wives to cook us diner. Some of us have other things to do.

For you pretty car owner I have to come up with two MSD sheet by the 30th of December. If you can tear yourself away from washing your pretty 951's I could use a hand.

Trust me, my 951 is not in showroom condition. But then again it is not my "main squeeze" right now either. I was mainly refering to how this new england weather is torture on a car without a garage. But the black brake dust on the wheels thing........come on!!!!! That is a major no no. I used to date a girl who worked at a car wash in Belmont (rich town), and you would routinely see 100k+ cars with black wheels from break dust. The owners were too cheap to pay a extra 2$ too keep them clean! I am a workin man too ya know.
